A year ago, we at Moombaplus Records composed a compilation album of Ska-Punk, Punk, Hard Rock, Alternative Rock, and Heavy Metal songs getting remixed into Moombahton/Tropical Bass sounds to help mesh the Rock scene with the Electronica scene, especially the Moombahton/Tropical Bass scene directly. The compilation was known as Punk Goes Moombahton. That compilation alone had garnered early success and gained eyes from well known individuals in the Moombahton such as Do Androids Dance bloggers, Marcus Dowling & DJ Nappy, Less Than Jake, and the godfather of Moombahton himself, Dave Nada. Based off the names of support, a second installment was in store. The start of volume two hit it off strong until months of uncertainly loomed over the summer of '14. After putting thought of releasing the few tracks that I've gotten in my hands as exclusive month-by-month releases, I reached out to former Moombaplus blogger Svmus Bass and got the train back on the tracks. Svmus Bass, now the founder of Global Bassed, he brought in his roster of artists into the mix and this volume two sequel of "Punk Goes Moombahton" hit 108 mph into the fast lane! The title was originally going to be called Global Bass Is Punk'd, we came up with "Moombahton Got Punk'd" as all of the tracks were basically Moombahton and the other tropical genres like Cumbia, Kuduro, Zouk Bass wasn't too much involved. Other than the slight name change, this compilation is perhaps edgier than the first one in the series. On "Moombahton Got Punk'd", we have remixes and one original from Sherburt, Gingee, SAVAGE!, matphilly, D-V3KZ, TURBiiNE, and SkyShaker. Each one of the tracks are downright grimey and edgy just like how a Punk Rock band represents their lifestyle in real life. Without further ado, I want to wish the listeners a warm experience with the second installment of Punk Goes Moombahton/Moombahton Got Punk'd compilation!!!
