Stella Richmond Headcanons Pt. 1
I'm going through and finally getting some of my drafts finished up so I thought I'd post some of my headcanons about my favorite Scarlet Hollow character :3
Heads up!!! This post is 18+ only, and contains spoilers. For most of the post it is sfw, but I do go into some more nsfw headcanons. Any minors/blogs without age indication that interact will be blocked.
I think-- and have seen other folks think the same-- that Stella has calloused hands. She's outside, out in the woods pretty often, yea? So naturally from moving branches out of her way, bracing herself against a tree during a hike, digging/clearing an area for a camp fire, and other things along those line, her hands would get rough from use. Her hands aren't leathery, or especially hard, but they aren't dainty or plush either. They catch on skin, or fabric, and are textured in a soft sort of way.
Stella runs cold. She doesn't get as hot when outside in the summer, but gets quite cold, quite easily. And this is really reflected in her external temperature. She is 100000% the type of person to stick their freezing-ass hands under your shirt, or her feet against you while sitting on the couch. On a similar train of thought, Stella is definitely a blanket stealer.
I do believe it's mentioned that she was going to bring soda's at some point in the game-- my headcanon in regards to this? Stella very rarely drinks soda, but when she does, it is diet soda. She has diet soda drinking vibes, idk. I also think it fits with her being so outdoorsy. In the summer heat, in the south, its often not the best to spend a lot of time outside if you have a lot of granulated, added sugars on your stomach. Between the heat and the bugs, I feel like she would just choose the practical diet soda for when she does drink them. I think she also just generally doesn't think about it, and forgets to mention its a diet soda before handing you one, since its such a commonality for her. Like, she asks if you wants a soda, and hands you a diet soda, without even thinking about. Stella isn't super one for alcohol, she doesn't enjoy how vulnerable she feels when tipsy, and likes to keep her wits about her, to keep on her toes and keep moving, and intoxication really keeps her from feeling able to do so. That being said, she will, once in a blue moon, have a beer. She'll really just nurse it, and won't have more than one.
I think outside of cryptid hunting, she'd also enjoy cinematography as a whole-- she's picked up a lot of filming and storytelling techniques, and took some online courses on it in her spare time to improve her channel. Same with journalism. Both of these topics are ones that are very interesting for her, so if you ever sit down and watch a film with her, you need to be prepared to pause a hundred-million times. (My girlfriend has the headcanon that Stella specifically watches the super long directors cut of Lord of the Rings, and that that's the version she will show folks, and pause and analyze, and I am very inclined to agree, and so I am adding it in here!! She would and I love that for her) She can pick apart a scene in heavy detail, and break down exactly why which questions were asked the way they were. Stella, when she allows herself to really sit down, and slow down, and think something through, can be quite analytical.
Stella isn't one for sweet scents. She much prefers more sharp smells, like mint, or eucalyptus, or pine. She doesn't mind sweeter scents, like vanilla and whatnot, but definitely doesn't seek them out and wouldn't choose them for herself either.
I personally think that Stella is somewhat more switchy during sex. I know a few folks who headcanon her as being more submissive, but I personally think that my headcanon also makes sense. I mean, in chapter four's romance route ending with her, and chapter five's romance route with her (although everyone is pretty noticeably under some effect, including Stella) we can see she can be a bit more confident in regards to things like romance. I think it also makes sense for a character who feels so out-of-control in so many aspects to find having control in the context of kink/bdsm/sex in general, cathartic, and satisfying. Yes, that same person could find relinquishing control over to someone else satisfying and cathartic-- I find myself in the latter category-- and that's why I say maybe more switchy. She gets to actually feel like the confident and in control version of herself she presents herself as, in a safe-space with a partner. But she still explores that catharsis and vulnerability that comes with giving up the little control she feels she has. Which side she leans towards really depends on the person and the amount of vulnerability she allows herself to feel towards the partner. But I think honestly she deserves a little genuine confidence, as a treat. And at some point, after some much needed therapy, I do think domming would be as genuine experience as subbing for her. It is also incredibly self indulgent, and I am firmly a sub, and cannot dom/switch for the life of me XD
