also i have changed my username from moominpup to moomeowmin (moomin + meow) because i am going to start streaming & creating moomin content on twitch + youtube & this username matches the rest of my socials for it - sorry for the confusion in advance! i’ve also started watermarking my photos as i do not mind people using my photos elsewhere as long as i have credit - i hope the marks aren’t too annoying i’ve tried to making them semi unnoticeable

Yes, I'm excited for Moomin Day on August 9th! In 2025, it will be a particularly special celebration as it coincides with the Moomins 80th anniversary.

Moomin Day is celebrated annually, as the date also marks Tove Jansson's birthday. Over the years, the Moomins have come to represent community and inclusion.

This month’s read for the Tove Jansson #Moomin80 readalong I’m doing with Liz is one which I missed on my first read of the books many moons ago. In fact, I only picked it up in 2017 on a trip to London and didn’t actually get round reading it until October 2023!
