I wholeheartedly believe that in WanDurin/DurinWan, Durin would be the possessive one. HEAR ME OUT ON THIS CHAT: Durin is a dragon from a fairytale. You know what's a very common trait in fantasy dragons? They hoard treasures. Wanderer is Durin's treasure, so Durin "hoards" him.

I think it doesn't really show up much though, not only because Wanderer doesn't really bother engaging with the public outside of the four people he cares about, but also because he himself has crippling attachment/abandonment issues and if they ever establish this relationship and he calms his self sacrificing ass down he will become physically incapable of leaving Durin's side for more than five minutes.

Thinking about the potential WanDurin angst if hoyo never gave Durin a pyro vision... the embrace of two cold blooded creatures having no warmth to offer either of them... Wanderer letting Durin cuddle to him then feeling guilty when he feels the dragon hugging him tighter because he cannot give Durin the body heat he very much craves... Durin not voicing the fact that he needs heat precisely because he doesn't want Hat Guy to feel guilty...
