oh dang, we're gushing about colorado as flatlanders? i went to Winter Park for their music competition (first chair cellist here) Colorado was beautiful, best time I ever had in a dramatic, body-shattering sports accident (snowboarding for the first time) Honestly I miss CO so much
To quote my mother: “I refuse to participate in any sport with an ambulance waiting at the bottom.”
Winter Park is a very pretty place! Most of the vertical places are, but I also want to give a shoutout to the flat half of Colorado- we’re coming up on wildlflower season here, so if you haven’t been (and this includes coloradoans- we have so many state parks, it’s easy to forget) i really reccomend heading out to the praries in the next two monts (april and may) to take in all the lovely local flora!
