moon-rabbitsreplied to your post: “lol MSNBC is playing endless clips of Trump praising WikiLeaks, before...”:
y'know i thought, when this whole thing went down, and the big media outlets were like, we done fucked up, that maybe at least we'd get some learning out of it. that at least they'd stop bullshitting about stuff no one cares about and giving a podium to fucking feuds on TWITTER, and start reporting ACTUAL FUCKING NEWS, BUT APPARENTLY THAT WAS A FUCKING PIPEDREAM. APPARENTLY ALL THE SELF-INTROSPECTION THEY APPEARED TO BE DOING IN EARLY NOVEMBER WAS ALSO BULLSHIT.
I mean aside from CNN having a handful of segments on tweets and weird crap like that mixed in, everything today was focused on just how big this. By the end of the day, after that NYTimes article came out, every show was talking about how this is truly bigger than Watergate in its scope and level of corruption.
That said, the fact we had a handful of these strange segments (the things that last longer than Flynn segment for example was very very ???? that isn’t a news segment, that is for the late night shows)
I think right now the real question is how far the Republicans will go to not do anything about this, and how much of this bullshit the public will be expected to buy, you know?
