The Cobra Civil War worked a lot better in the comics, but then again, Cobra Commander was significantly scarier in the comics.

Yeah, I’ve heard the comics are generally better, though my comics backlog is already so long I’m not sure when I’d ever get to reading them. XD

One funny thing about Cobra Commander's incompetence is that when GI Joe Resolute came out it treated the old cartoon as at least partially canon but made Cobra Commander a more serious leader and to address that inconsistency he actually tells the troops "Before I used to play the buffoon because it actually forced you idiots to THINK!"

I’m torn on this, because there is some appeal to a genuinely scary Cobra Commander--but I’m also really fond of him actually being a buffoon that lucked/charismaed his way into power.

I’m really weak for Hopeless/Idiot/Failures that have super competent people behind them that support them wholeheartedly (even if it is in a frustrated eye-rolling way) ala Shego & Draken and even the dynamic Rusty Venture has with all of his friends (Brock Sampson, Orpheus, His Kids on some days, Billy & White, etc).

Though I do like the idea of Buffon Cobra having a breaking point and becoming scary.

The idea that it was an act the whole time is...eh. Not bad but not my cup either. :P

When playing a game in which there is a certain degree of customizability to the character how often do you try and make them original characters of yours that you've already made before. Also do you eventually start referring to them internally with first person pronouns?

I don’t really. Usually I just try to make the most attractive character I can with the system and then just name it “Grey” if it’s a boy or “Liliy” if it’s a girl. Lol. XD

Though usually I’ll stick with Blond for Grey and some sort of pink hair for Liliy. That’s about as far as it goes.

@moonbasearachnos Fairly certain the only qualm I ever had with Spectacular Spider-Man was that Venom never sounded right to me and that's probably only because the 90s Spidey cartoon set what Venom should sound like to me.

I liked how they handled the Venom arc too much to care about his voice, I think. I’ll never get over Spidey’s “Come back to me, baby.” style speech followed by his snarky, “I? Not we?” as Venom ditched Eddie. XD

I still have mixed feelings on the 90′s cartoon. Like, I watched it. But after they revealed Mary Jane to be a water clone I just kinda stopped watching because the “What” factor had gotten too high for my blood plot wise (that and I had WAY too many feelings over that Mary Jane clone dying).

But Venom was great in that series, too. Venom’s pretty much great in anything, honestly, because Venom. But Spectacular was my fav. XD

Can I just say that your will to continue soldering on art wise and do it so well with a broken, dislocated arm is very inspiring.

I hope to use this recent string of terrible luck as an opportunity to prove that I am an actual terminator robot.

So a friend of mine just finished Undertale and came to a realization about Chara. He described them as such. "the story about a kid that falls from grace and hates humanity, gets adopted by a noble family, poisons his adoptive father, takes control of their stepbrother's body and transcends humanity to become something else?" and I laughed, I thought you might laugh too.
