it wasn’t like he had any good reason for showing up at steve’s apartment unannounced, but they were beyond the point of him feeling like he needed one. harry wasn’t expected back at work until — well, until he was better, although he had no idea when that would be. a fist raised to knock on the door, though there was a very real possibility that steve might not even be home, which would be somewhat embarrassing. when there wasn’t an immediate response, the boy sighed and knocked again, his own impatience getting the better of him. “ steven ! “ he shouted, and it seemed to do the job pretty quickly because before harry knew it, the front door was opening. except . . . that was definitely not steve answering the door. “ oh. sorry to bother you, i — “ he began, trying to ignore the suddenly sour taste in his mouth at the sight of the other. “ can you just let steve know that harry stopped by ? “
