DO you have any history on the Moon Goon troll? I don't remember when it came out or any story behind it. Thanks
Hi There :)
I tried doing a CSI on the Moon Goons, unfortunately I have no definite back ground history on them. No brochure or advertisements showing them back then 60’s, just bits of info I saw noted on the net.
Miss Inge Dykins (Mrs. Inge Dykins Hill, "Mother of the Trolls"), a Danish woman living in Miami Florida, who was president of giftware firm Scandia House Enterprises S.H.E., a division of Royalty Designs of Florida came up with the concept / idea for the Moon Goons with the help of her friend Louis Khem, (there's post to be an old newspaper article about it, can’t find yet). So I assume that's where the marking "© 1964 L. KHEM" on the bottom of the right foot is coming from. The the bottom of the left foot says, PAT.PEND.
Also noted I saw L. Khem was marketed by Dykins Sales Inc. in the 1960's. Moon Goons are troll like but are not troll dolls or even monsters. So what were the dolls intended to be, not sure yet. But to the Troll Collector they are part of the Troll Family, Troll Relatives. Also saw noted Japan, not sure of the connection yet.
The pictures I posted is what I think of as Moon Goons. I don't know what the 8 represents on the one doll or the odd shape on their backs, referred as peanut shell shape.

Update 5-17-2015
Moon Goons are “creatures from outer space”.
The doll with the 8 on it’s belly is called “8 Ball Kid”, referring to the 8 ball pool game.
The last doll with rabbit fur hair on this post is in the Debra Clark book page 56. In its original package it says: “Weird Animals With Natural Animal Hair” marked “Japan” on bottom of feet. I assume this is a knock off because it has the Moon Goons characteristics 3 fingers and toes.
(If I find more details, I’ll put it on this post.)
