Aqua had been in the Darkness for so long that she knew that whenever a world would be swallowed, there would be a rumbling first. Then the darkness would withdraw like a tsunami, only to turn, and flood over the new world. She would then travel for long times to the world. She would go through the freshly swallowed structures as they fell apart, and she would search for survivors and items and crystals.
This time she was at the epicentre. The darkness withdrew to make a flood, but she was already falling through a crack. She washed onto the other world in a pool of black before the tsunami could build. She new it was coming. But now, for the first time, she stood on the other side. She had a duty to warn the people who lived here. So she stood up shakily. She shook the black off her. She looked up, and saw the moon.
Was she out of the Realm of Darkness? She wasn’t sure. She didn’t want to think she escaped, not when this world would be overrun soon.
The first person she saw, was a man with blue hair laying on the ground. He looked wounded. Parts of his black coat were fading away. She didn’t know who he was, but even from this distance she could see he needed help. It was the right thing to do. She didn’t want the first person she would meet in such a long time to fade before they could help one another.
“Are you alright?” She climbed the stairs fast. Not much time to lose. She fell to her knees, slid over the floor, and came to a halt by his side. She pulled his head to her lap. She opened the bottle of a simple potion. “If you want to live, drink.”
