This is an IPA (no shit Mutt?), but it came straight from the cask. Which of course mellows out the flavor. Because there's a cask, there's little to no head--kinda like marriage. It's still a solid IPA which still maintains the bitterness and hops centric flavor of an IPA, despite the subdued and flat nature of the casky-ness. Good stuff, I'd recommend it for people that like less bitter IPAs and like a touch of the smooth.
UPDATE: My girlfriend says it smells like pee, which makes me not want to finish it. Eh, can't be any worse than that filth I drank in college. (stay tuned, reviews of college filth are forthcoming).
