sorry if you've been asked this before but i can't use skeb without a Japanese bank account but i want to commission you for art so... is there another way i can send it from USA? that or how would i be able to pay you?

Hello!! Usually you can use SKEB with just a credit card! If you're signing up as an artist who is taking comms though, that's when you need a Japanese Bank acc!

My preferred place for taking comms is on Skeb because it has a confirmed deadline, but if you don't mind waiting for 1-3 months, I do take Ko-Fi comms too which takes card and PayPal.

Right now, I'm working through my Ko-Fi queue before I open up again for one last time this year. I recommend following me on Ko-Fi since it should alert you when I reopen if you choose to submit your request there!

I do want to warn you that I haven't taken proper big comms in a while, so most of the options on Ko-Fi are very SKEB-like in process. (you throw me the gist, I go ham)

So if you're looking for a comm where you have a very specific vision and want regular communication and updates, I will hopefully have that option available next year!

Whats the difference between 8sen and 8sen:meluna?

Previously, 8SEN simply referred to the specific story where Yuumi is the protagonist along with Ringo. So the test episode on YouTube where they set out to explore the world of card games in cars.

I had so many things I wanted to explore with every character though, which is where I decided that "8SEN" is an umbrella title! Sorta like how 'Pokemon' has its versions of games from red to violet.

8SEN:MELUNA is a concentrated story that takes place before the 'main events' of the world of test drive 8SEN (which I refer to now as 8SEN:CandyApple). It focuses on the interpersonal relationships that surround Tsukiya and Takeru while they get involved in the origins of the card game and racing culture.

8SEN isn't necessarily going to be about the card game and driving all the time- I have many things I want to tell with overarching themes that all connect, so I figured that it'd work better if I were to sorta... Turn 8SEN more so into a project where I freely explore what I want to without that restriction, if that makes sense!

TLDR; 8SEN = 'franchise title' Eg. Pokemon

8SEN:MELUNA = specific story under title Eg. Pokemon Black

Do you have a whole list that lists all of your ygo ocs? There is so many so it's a little intimating and confusing to know who their pairings and who is which

Hello! I know you might be busy but I have a few questions. What program do you use for your digital art and what device do you use computer/tablet ect.? Also do you have any art tips for how you color in your art? I fell in love with your art style and I love how you color them in. Don't even get me started on the shading! It looks amazing! You've really inspired me and I really hope that I can be just like you someday! I love your Yu-Gi-Oh! art and comics they're so cute! Thank you so much for your time!

Firstly, I use a MacBookPro (Laptop) with a small Wacom Comic Intuos tablet. 

The program I use is Clip Studio Paint EX, and I animate using FireAlpaca because I'm really bad and impatient when it comes to learning how to animating on CSP.

I can't give you any pointers when it comes to how to shade, but I can try and tell you about how I choose my colours 😭

Lately I’ve been paying more attention to values... Values are basically how light or dark something is on a scale of white to black.

When I shade, I make sure that the colours I’m using are dark (but vibrant) enough so that when I slide the saturation all the way down to monochrome...

You can still make out the shaded areas and highlights!

I also make sure to use a slightly different colour from the base colour when shading instead of making it a darker version of the base, if that makes sense.

The fun part about art is that you can play around a lot, so I really encourage you to just mess around with the kinds of colours you use until something sticks out <3333 Hope this helped!
