Rainsburg seems calm the day after the full moon. Both wolf packs, as well as all of our taken wolves, have successfully evaded an involuntary night on the town. Silver abrasions may heal slower than most wounds, but every taken wolf secures themselves before the moon is high in the sky, and wakes up exactly where they blacked out. The humans of Rainsburg continue on, completely unaware that their town is growing more and more supernatural by the day. The town is business as usual, until the Rainsburg Time’s Wednesday edition is delivered to every doorstep and stoop in town.
Rainsburg Police Department Issue a Missing Person Alert For The First Time in 25 Years.
March 14th, 2017 // FRONT PAGE
The Moore family is holding a prayer session at Rainsburg Catholic Church tonight at 7 P.M. after their daughter, Ashlynn, 20, vanished without a trace. An honor student and a member of the Rainsburg cheerleading team, Ashlynn’s friends and family are shocked by her sudden disappearance.
Ashlynn was reported missing by her family Tuesday after her roommate woke up to find her missing from the room on Monday morning. Ashlynn’s roommate, Alexandria Ramos, told the Rainsburg Time it was very unusual behavior but she didn’t think anything of it.
“We’re in college,” Ramos told this reporter, “But Ash always slept in. I tried to text her but figured she was just trying to get a jump on finals week.”
But Ashlynn wasn’t out with friends. Rainsburg Police Department Chief, Gordan Hardwick, released a statement stating Ashlynn was last seen the night of the full moon, March 12th. She met up with her ex-boyfriend, who has not been named by the PD, got into a fight, and left in her Red PT cruiser. Ashlynn was last seen wearing a black parka, blue plaid shirt, and ripped skinny jeans.
She is considered a missing person under suspicious circumstances by Rainsburg PD. If you have any information regarding her whereabouts, please call the Crimestoppers Hotline. You may be eligible for a $50,000 reward and you can remain completely anonymous.
The Moore family ended their interview with a final plea for Ashlynn or anyone who may know her whereabouts..
“Please, we just want our baby back. Ash, if you’re out there, just come home.”
No further action is needed for the event. Please do not start any paras that pre-date the full moon, but feel free to continue any paras you’ve started! If you have questions on wolf lore or this event, please don’t hesitate to send it in. We hope y’all are enjoying this plot as much as we are!
It is the first full moon since the Rogues have moved into town and that means one thing: the humans of Rainsburg are exposed to even more risk than before with so many new wolves in town. As per the State Pack rules, every moonskin must remain chained up in silver at nightfall.
Things to remember:
It is a declared rule that a wolf stay chained on the full moon for the entire state of New York.
Every single triggered werewolf will shift in the evening of a full moon, no exceptions.
The shift on a full moon is involuntary. It has often been described as a ‘black out’ state that the wolf does not remember.
Physical contact between skin and silver will create immediate damage that is slow to heal.
Generally, a moderate amount of silver will take eight to twelve hours to heal. Most wolves can be restrained with minimal damage to their legs and arms.
Moonskins on a full moon cannot be restrained by human-made steel or lesser metals.
Both the State and the Rogue house have basements equipped with silver chains.
For this event and our first full moon we are asking all members to write a para related to the full moon. If your werewolf is untriggered, a solo para works as well, or a para taking place earlier in the day. We know this event is focused around the triggered wolves, but everyone can participate!
If your character has already triggered, we ask that you have at least one response done before Monday the 13th so we can see who is following rules and who has not! If you don’t participate in this event it is assumed that your character did not chain themselves up.
The event will take place Sunday, March 12th, 2017 in roleplay time. Feel free to write and post your starters early. If you’re seeing this post, the event is on! That does not mean you can’t finish your active paras. Please do not start any new event paras after Sunday. Y’all are more than welcome to continue with any event paras started (we don’t expect everyone to finish an in depth para in two days) before Monday.
Please tag your first page as moonskinsevent02 that way we can keep track of everyone doing the event! Make sure to use our moonskinsstart tag listed on the NMG also! If you have questions on wolf lore that are not answered on our wolves page or faq, please don’t hesitate to send it in. We want to make sure everyone is on the same page!
With little commotion, two leader of two groups -- one pack and one group of rogues -- convene in the Rainsburg Forest. On neutral ground, a set of rules are established for the two groups. Delaware and Jordan come to an agreement after nearly two hours of talking in the clearing. All existing moonskin rules are still in place, as well as normal pack rules. The pact rules are as followed:
FOR THE ROGUES
No physical harmful contact is to be had with the State pack.
The Rogue pack is allowed to stay on State Pack land for the next six months until they get back on their feet.
Persuasion is not to be used by any member of of the Rogue pack for any reason.
Rogue wolves must undergo studying to learn about the high pack and wolf laws if they are not familiar.
Rogues must ask permission before coming within two miles of the state house.
FOR THE STATE
No harmful physical contact is to be had with the Rogue members.
State pack members are not to intimidate or bully any Rogue members.
State members must ask permission before coming onto the immediate property of the Rogue house.
If anyone rules are broken by either side, Delaware will be in charge of the situation.
No further action is needed for the event as far as writing goes. Please do not start any paras that pre-date this pact/post, but feel free to continue any paras you’ve started! Keep in mind that the Rogue group is now “settled” into Rainsburg and can interact with any open character. If you have questions on wolf lore that are not answered on our wolves page or faq, please don’t hesitate to send it in. We want to make sure everyone is on the same page!
The snow from their most recent cold front is fresh on the ground when the Rogue group takes their first step onto Rainsburg soil. A helpful tip from a solo wolf led them heading North to land that was supposed to be unclaimed. The cabin they find is simple, easy, and it takes all of ten minutes to convince the squatters to take an extended vacation to Florida to warm up for the winter. They have enough money between them for utilities to last a couple of months if persuasion fails, and a forest surrounding them to keep warm for the rest of the Rainsburg winter. But there is a smell that lingers all around the land they’re on, wolves, and a lot of them at that. That is not in the plans.
Untriggered wolves have always been around Rainsburg. Whether they’re at Rainsburg High School, the prestigious Historic Rainsburg College, or just enjoying the small town feel on Main Street, none of them could possibly be prepared for the clash that’s bound to happen. They continue living without fear, some aware of their possible lineage while others are completely in the dark, unaware that another group of wolves in town just may cause them to hit their triggering point.
There are always Solo wolves hanging around larger cities, and Rainsburg is comfortably clustered between a couple of them. There is always the smell of wolves, and more specifically a pack of wolves, all over the land, but there’s something fresh and new in town.
The State pack has claimed Rainsburg over a year ago as their own, and that is not a claim they take lightly. With a constant patrol schedule for the entire city limits, there is not an inch of Rainsburg they have not claimed as their own. Such is the way of werewolves, of course. So when the morning patrol (Delaware and Arkansas) smells new wolves, and a bunch of them, in town the first thing that’s done is a pack meeting. If someone is trying to stake claim on their rightful territory, the State pack is not going down without a fight.
For this event and our opening, the task is simple! Write and finish at least one para. It can be with anyone in the roleplay and as long as it’s a para, it counts. Please tag your first page as moonskinsevent01 that way we can keep track of everyone doing the event! Make sure to use our moonskinsstart tag listed on the NMG also! Keep in mind that the Rogue group is brand new to Rainsburg. Unless your character has a previous history outside of Rainsburg with a Rogue member, they have not met yet. If you have questions on wolf lore that are not answered on our wolves page or faq, please don’t hesitate to send it in. We want to make sure everyone is on the same page!
