I finally landed a job after waiting for 5 months after graduation 😭😭😭 I got a Junior Graphic Designer role and a pretty decent salary for a fresh graduate. It's not what I wanted at first because I actually want a UI/UX Web Designer job to fit my degree closer but it's fine. Maybe the universe wanted me to go there somehow.
It was kind of a funny because I have another company conducting an interview process when in the middle of the week they clutched in and ask me for a final interview. I prayed that the process would be quick because I don't want the first company due to MANY REASONS but they have almost the same salary with the one I got in.
omg so a lot of things happened recently. I haven't posted much but I had an art booth at Alabang last 2 weeks ago and was it worth it? NO! the organizer and mall management said "this mall has a lot of foot traffic by the afternoon." and guess what? ZERO FOOT TRAFFIC . I had to cut short my stay to 2 days because I met an online friend besides, it was just a free rent booth so what do I even expect? Lesson learn for that is to just go and get a bigger organizer who knows how to market an event to the people.
Oh and shoutout to that one person who went on my booth and bought 2 oasis art prints and some stickers and said "oh we're actually went here only for this" and left the mall 😭🙏
I was actually busy last week due to the Taguig Arts Festival last Feb 28-March 1. I didn't expect to get a slot for it so I went all out for it. My experience with it is just bad because the organizers didn't market it at all in the page to gain more people to come around and buy stuff. The only people coming around are the ones who just went to the mall for leisures. Typical normal filipino things they don't find these kind of stuff interesting so it's so hard to sell them. Anw, I'll be on another event soon with a better organizer (i hope) for women's month this March.
(btw this was my first time doing some booth stuff haha)
HAPPY NATIONAL ART MONTH BTWWW
I really hope to continue being creative this month. Oh and attend the local art workshops if they will hold another one for the end of the month! They also have artists alleys my money is gonna run out again HAHA!
your art is SUPERB, OMG! would u ever take comms at some point?
still planning if I get on hold of vgen but i haven't done any research it yet mueheh
damn job market in the Philippines is so ass I just want a job rn but I cannot get one for a UI/UX designer and I'm not even good with coding if I get a coding job ough 😭😭😭
I just realized I've been an artist for like 6 or probably more years and I still feel like a beginner or new to it. I thought about quitting once every 3-6 months lmao. 🚬
