03.11.18 // Moon Wheel // Without Appeal // DuChamp live in West Germany
Sat 03.11.18 in West Germany a night to to be missed! Swedish electronic composer Moon Wheel, dronehead DuChamp and for the first time live in Berlin, Without Appeal, new project from Will Gresson (from Fausto Maijstral) and Lia Boscu. Moon Wheel (SE/Ber, Nous, Where To Now?, Not Not Fun) is a project by Olle Holmberg, a Swedish multidisciplinary artist, composer and performer. Increasingly prolific and active on the Berlin scene, Holmberg has started turning heads locally and abroad through his finely-crafted and constantly evolving productions. His cerebral, shape-shifting compositions are inspired by nature, history, and wandering, integrating natural and synthesised sound worlds. He has performed and released records internationally since 2011. https://soundcloud.com/moonwheel without appeal (NZ/RO/Ber) without appeal is an artist collective founded by Lia Boscu and Will Gresson in late 2016. Functioning as a framework to present research-oriented projects within wider collaborative networks, without appeal also operates as a self-publishing imprint, releasing books, zines and sound work in limited runs. https://withoutappeal.org/ DuChamp (IT/Ber, Boring Machines, Idiosyncratics, Full Body Massage records) is an Italian scientist, musician and curator based in Berlin, religiously devoted to drone. Drone is related to a precise childhood memory: the sound of the hair dryer, that her mother used to fix her hair. That was the sound of care, bliss, and infinite love. Since 2017, DuChamp started to incorporate real field recordings, related to her personal memory, into her drone compositions, by adding layers of sounds and noise in attempt to recreate some kind of apophonias. https://duchampdrone.tumblr.com/music
