I completely agree! I think I’m either somewhere in season two or I just finished it but I can’t remember. maybe I’ll just find an episode guide and figure it out so I can stream it from somewhere while I’m travelling…

ROLAND WANTS KISSES

FIRST THREE KISSES || not accepting.

       Though they had successfully thwarted the assassination attempt on the Empress, the Lady Ambassador felt that it would be proper to stay long into the night. Despite the events of the night, this was the closest they’ve had to a break, and from what he could see, Bull had already imbibed enough wine to where his already boisterous laughter grew tenfold, and the Inquisitor laughed into their goblet at something Dorian uttered beneath his breath without a care who saw. Roland, however, was dancing, laughing, and singing his way through the crowd of people, joyously.

        Solas had a few glasses himself, but Roland — Roland had the smell of sweet berries on his breath. The halfling’s cheeks were red and speckled, his dull-tipped ears pink from his fervor, and there was a smile on his lips that didn’t falter even when he bumped into an arrogant noble who spat at his feet. It wasn’t the first time he’s seen the other so carefree, but it was the first time Roland’s had an expression of wonder on his face the closer he got, as if he saw something in Solas he wanted. It was easy to understand why in the next few moments that came after.

        Roland kisses him. It wasn’t the type of tentative peck on the lips one might expect in such a place ( lest they earn a reputation unbecoming of the Inquisition ), but eager, demanding. And oh, it’s been such long time since he’s felt the lips of another that he allows this moment linger. Words don’t quite make it out when the other pulls away, lest he humiliate the poor man, but, instead, he guides Roland to the others and smiles politely when the Inquisitor questions the flush of their cheeks.

       When morning comes, Solas doesn’t miss the questioning glances sent his way from the younger man, but he doesn’t encourage them either. Knowing nothing good could come from it, Solas allows the moment to pass away, unspoken.

AHHHHHHH. You followed me a LONG TIME AGO. AND I’m so happy you’re still around!? Your writing is beautiful, and I’ve watched it grow. Honestly, your writing inspires me! It has that fantasy touch to it. Like, I bet you could describe a fairy in three paragraphs, and it’d be amazing? Roland is adorable and Solas loves Roland, and ILU.
