Nature is fascinating and sometimes disturbing. Today I discovered a small group of courting blue moor frogs. A female mallard duck suddenly burst into this idyllic setting and, after a long struggle, devoured one of the frogs. This despite the fact that moor frogs enjoy a high level of protection. They are highly endangered and were therefore named Reptile of the Year in Germany this year.
