MOOSETHIEF OH GOD I LOVE THIS SHIP.
Sam and Balthazar are so similar. Little brothers, trying so hard to live up to what their big brothers believe is correct. They're both brilliant, clever, gifted with languages. Sam has that little darkness to him that meshes so neatly with Balthazar's fallen ideals. They're both not particularly fond or observant of standard rules and laws, but they have EXTREMELY well defined morals.
And Sam and Balth together? It's tender, fiercely loyal, beautifully kinky, and at the same time, it's a genuine working relationship, a partnership, if you will. Neither of them is afraid to talk about emotions or cuddle it out, but at the same time, there's no... how do I explain it... They're both intensely masculine, which is an odd way to phrase it, but essentially, the two dudes, two obviously masculine men, come together in a relationship that is built of mutual trust and care and tenderness and witty banter and it's just fucking lovely, okay? It's fucking lovely.
