In true tumblr fashion, I saw a post that I immediately lost and can no longer find, that said something to the effect of "moral support implies the existence of immoral support", and I think someone replied "it also implies moral opposition", and the thought of it forced me to make this at gunpoint and whatever now I gotta share with the class

Write a piece in which a character is forced to do something they morally oppose.

Since your ask box is empty - how would you suggest dealing with being asked to perform medical procedures you're morally against while in medical school?

Talk to the person in charge of your rotation or the attending doing the surgery. Pull them aside quietly and let them know that you have a moral aversion to the procedure and that you would not like to participate. Offer to do something else in place of the procedure, like go check on patients on the floor or catch up on other things for the doc while they're in the procedure so they don't think you're just trying to get out of work. 

If an attending forces you to remain in or participate in a procedure that you are opposed to doing, you should take it up with their department head or with your school. That's not cool.
