   now this one takes a bit more thought. a bit more consideration. on the one hand? ifrit’s human appearance is very attractive but on the other hand ... he remains an astral. and it is that which eclipses the former trait. that which has ardyn’s shoulders shift and move into a shrug. ❝ perhaps. ❞ and that’s about as straightforward as he’ll get.

he has no shame in showing that there is a sign of interest, not if the case containing two finely-weighted daggers resting where they will be discovered is to be seen. they are beautifully made, orichalcum inlaid with brass. an elegant pair of weapons, if older in appearance than one might expect. but keen on the edge and polished to a beautiful sheen, ready to be used. the handles are ivory, inlaid with gilt, if subtle. a king's weapons.

            the  chancellor  had  once  been  the  LAST  person  ignis  had  expected  to  play  into  the  idea  of  a  birthday  gift.  rather,  he  once  would  have  been  shocked  to  learn  that  ardyn  even  knew  when  his  birthday  was,  or  even  cared  to  notate  it  amidst  what  had  to  be  a  plethora  of  far  more  relevant,  IMPORTANT  bits  of  information.  now,  though,  it  was  a  matter  of  WHAT,  exactly,  ardyn  would  bestow  upon  him  as  a  present.  their  tastes  aligned  more  than  ignis  was  willing  to  admit,  and  the  gorgeous  case  that  sat  atop  his  desk  did  little  to  prove  otherwise.

                        a  hand  glides  overtop  it,  appreciating  the  craftsmanship.  every  little  detail  given  ample  attention,  even  the  SMALLEST  deserving  of  it,  until  that  spark  of  childlike  curiosity  finally  threatened  to  consume  him  whole,  and  he  could  wait  no  longer.  a  ‘  click,  ‘  the  case  opened  carefully,  soft  gasp  to  part  from  lips  at  the  gorgeous  daggers  that  lay  within.  they  had  clearly  been  around  far  longer  than  the  advisor  himself,  but  the  meticulous  care  they  had  been  under  did  well  to  mask  it.  ignis  is  almost  afraid  to  even  touch  the  set,  let  alone  use  it---  but,  then,  ardyn  would  WANT  him  to,  as  if  the  desires  of  the  taller,  enigmatic  man  were  deserving  of  such  consideration.  somehow,  ignis  believes  ardyn  would  get  a KICK  out  of  watching  him  dance  about  the  battlefield,  the  gifted  daggers  slicing  into  wherever  and  whatever  they  may  find  purchase  upon  his  ARMY.

          that,  in  itself,  is  more  than  enough  to  have  him  slipping  them,  carefully,  into  a  fresh  pair  of  holsters,  right  upon  his  thighs  for  easy,  convenient  access.  perhaps  he  would  even  make  a  show  of  DISPLAYING  them  to  the  chancellor  when  next  they  met.

1.How do they feel about people shorter/taller than them?

For people shorter pretty indifferent, he was considered very tall in the founder’s time when he was young, and isn’t the type to bring it up. He can be a little flustered by people taller than him, because he’s 6′3″ and it’s a bit mind boggling. But that is tempered by the fact that he finds large and tall men quite attractive. (exmpl: Gilgamesh, Clarus, and Gladio) 

4.Preferred weather?

If he’s indoors, he likes a nice thunderstorm. If he’s outside, he prefers the weather to be clear and it to be somewhere between cool and warm. He’s not much for the outdoors so the least it can do is behave while he’s out in the middle of it.

5.What’s their sleeping schedule?

He suffers from Insomnia, and has even since he was young. His immortality means he can go even longer without sleep than the average person, so not great.  He’ll have weeks were he sleeps fairly normally, others where he sleeps but never feels rested, and sometimes he’ll go multiple weeks without sleeping at all. The last often signals a time where he’ll lose sense of reality to the endless amount of memories he has as well.

7.How’s their cooking?

Functional, it’s not amazing or gourmet, but it tastes pretty decent. Most of the things he cooks are old things he learned from his mother or recipes he’s came across the years though, so some interest can be found simply because the recipes for a lot of the food he cooks has been lost to time. 

17.What’s something they like that may be surprising to others?

Hmm, He really enjoys the theater, and some video games, though he doesn’t play them as much as Prompto or Noctis. The theater is sometimes surprising to people who don’t know how old he is, folks tend to assume he’d prefer film or going to a club. But he does generally prefer something quieter and slower than modern movies. Basically it’s his age showing.  Video games tend to surprise people who know his actual age, because as old as he is you’d think it’d be similar to movies and just too much noise and color. But he enjoys kings knight, and some of the skill based games in arcades. (He doesn’t really play console games though.)

26. Do they like being in pictures?

He likes pictures! Photographs especially were pretty amazing to him when they were first invented. Since most other art took much longer complete. He tries to stick to only appearing in personal stuff though, so people won’t get suspicious or connect him to people in historical documents.  He doesn’t like depictions of him as sort of a religious story character though, relating him as an “evil tempter” that interfered with the first oracle. He’ll work to destroy stuff like that, because he sees it as a personal insult, and as spitting on the events that were his and his family’s real life.

Ignis is very good with his hands, especially after he was blinded. He enjoys taking time and learning exactly how to touch and pleasure his lover with his hands, knows exactly how to use those hands to drive them to the edge over and over. ;]

And as for scars/birthmarks. He has a few large freckles/moles on his lower back/hips, but he’s not embarrassed by them. He does have extensive scarring on his arms, hands and chest after the damage the Ring of the Lucii did, and since he never saw the extent of the damage for himself, he’s convinced that he’s a sight worth cringing from. His embarrassment of his scars has more to do with not wanting to talk of them, and not wanting pitying words or reactions from people.

If you ever catch him sitting idle, he’ll obsessively trace the edges of his scars when he thinks he’s alone, where no one would see him do it.

His scars are sensitive, and if he has a lover that takes some time to body worship him, stroking or kissing his scars is very arousing to him. Even better if you murmur sweetly to him while you do it.
