Morality Meme 🌹: When would they tell a lie?

The answer is yes.

Alright let me expand on this, haha! Robin possess a monstrous charisma and learned an inhuman prowess for manipulation, he is a very eloquent speaker and is incredibly persuasive/charming. He is a terrific planner, coming up with both long and short-term solutions to subdue enemies, and machiavellian in execution of those plans--due to his own world views and experiences, he is EXTREMELY distrusting of anyone who enters his life. Evil expects evil from others, all of that nonsense.

That being said, Robin tends to mold the truth and tell lies of omission more than just flat-out ones. He is extremely good at putting his mind into the POV of others and has a strong sense of empathy that he will use to vet whoever he is speaking to. He'll manipulate people by making them feel safe and comfortable in order to gather information, however this isn't to say his intentions are necessarily bad, generally done through kindness, compassion, and understanding. There's often no malice behind this, and it drops when he finds that whoever he's speaking with isn't trying to do him any harm.

He will feign ignorance, interest, compassion, all of the above in order to get the information he needs to be comfortable. If that includes lying or pretending to get around an obstacle, so be it. Emotional manipulators are incredibly skilled liars, and this is no different for him, and it is incredibly difficult to tell when his kindness is genuine or not. This will fall off though, as I said, or ramp up to 100 if he deems you untrustworthy or a threat. I challenge you to try and figure out if he's lying or not.

For Abel: He lies as much as humans breathe air, not so much to Robin, shockingly, but to others? Oh yeah.

Robin's view of good and evil is extremely grayed and blurred out, as he has a firm belief that everyone is capable of both good and bad, regardless of who that person is. He has a somewhat nihilistic view of life due to his upbringing, work, and eventual death/resurrection. He has seen people rip eachother to pieces like animals as well as stitch them back together as if their own life depended on it--so, shockingly it does mean little to him.

He doesn't pursue justice to defeat evil and he doesn't participate in cruel acts for the joy of it either, he falls perfectly in the middle of villain and hero. Despite this, he finds pointless cruelty pointless--beating an animal won't change anything, but torturing information out of a Noxian soldier? That may save a few lives at the expense of one, pragmaticism over feelings--always.

Adapt or die, people will always do what they have to do to survive within life...to gain power, to have an easier experience--and if that means that someone will get hurt or need to perform "evil" acts...He cannot be one to judge. He's done things that exclude him from being a hero, but he's also done things that a typical villain never would, so who is he to act morally superior to anyone or have any opinion on it?

---Good and evil mean almost nothing to the demonic entity, it doesn't really have the ability to grasp how human morality works. Abel can understand why humans feel such a way, but is unable to feel it himself, and will generally do anything it wants to get ahead. Considering it manipulated a grieving 15 year old child using their father's voice...I think that speaks enough for itself.

Fuuuuck no, he thinks he's an awful person, even if he would never admit it. He's come to (relative) peace with his actions and behavior, but he still knows he isn't a good man.

He was pretty horrified by his own actions at first, believe it or not.

Mm no, not really-- at least not when it comes down to the line. He'd do whatever he had to do to escape something he truly fears- lie, kill, betray, steal, etc.

🍷: Would they manipulate someone to get what they want?

He doesn't intentionally manipulate anyone that he cares about-- or that he considers a respectable peer. However, he has manipulated people for his own benefit from time to time- mostly his (adult) test subjects tbh with you.

She doesn’t actively break the law, there’s really no need to, but she wouldn’t be against it if need be. Doesn’t care if other people do it for good reasons either.

🌹: When would they tell a lie?

She doesn’t lie very much, Kilani is big into being honest and to the point with people.

She would lie to protect people that she cares about but otherwise what purpose does it really serve? Well— she might do white lies if it gets things moving in her work when they otherwise wouldn’t get done.

💋: How easily are they tempted?

Not too easily… if she wants something she’s pretty realistic about weather or not it seems attainable. If it doesn’t seem within reach you won’t tempt her with it like, at all.

⚠: Would they seek revenge against someone who’s harmed them or the people they care about?

Yes, absolutely. Kilani does not take being slighted very well at all. If you think you can serve out harm against her or, god forbid, someone she cares about a lot? You better pray she doesn’t find you asdjfgdhsk

It will not be pretty. Only way she’d back down is if her loved one wanted the revenge instead.

Snow thinks that there is good and evil at the ends of the spectrum, but that most everyone falls somewhere between and trying to be purely one or the other is nigh unobtainable.

He also thinks it's largely subjective on what's truly evil or truly good.

🌹: When would they tell a lie?

He's a pretty honest and forthright guy 9 times out of 10, and even when he's not, he usually omits rather than lies if possible.

He doesn't see much reason in lying personally, but so long as people aren't doing it maliciously then he doesn't mind if other people do it for their own reasons.

💋: How easily are they tempted?

Honestly...? Snow can be tempted fairly easily if it isn't going to harm someone undeserving.

He enjoys a lot of simple pleasures and also just the feeling that someone is interested in (or likes him) in some way can persuade him to do a lot of things. Snow isn't unintelligent by any means, he's a thoughtful guy, but he does tend to follow his gut and instincts over his head a lot,
