“  you ... on  the  other  hand,  look  like  gotham's  newest  bachelor ready for debut.  how dare you look that good. ”    jealousy  burns  at  the  tongue,  yet  the  heart  admires  bruce  fondly.  forever  thankful  for  whom  she  wed.  any  bit  of  bad  mood  was  quickly  stopped  once  two  adorable  little  faces  pop  up  amidst  her  wardrobe  pile ; the  twins  having  fun  in  their  mother's  fashion  woes.    blues look to her beloveds, playfully asking if she should acquire their father's amex for a bit of an emergency shopping spree. “ don't look at me like that, you know i'll donate much of this come morning. ”

It's nice to have normal snowfall in Gotham. The snow is light and fluffy, not posing a danger to anyone unless they're not wearing a winter jacket. With Mr. Freeze locked up and unable to use his tech, there's no doubt the snow is 100% normal. It's also nice to see the twinkling gold lights along main street and to hear the laughter of kids as they throw snowballs at one another.

Although Gotham is still Gotham with people cussing at each other for driving like shit in the snowstorm, and although there's almost always somebody somewhere doing something that makes a bat descend upon them, the major players seem to have taken a rare day off.

It's nice to be able to breathe for once. Speaking of rarities...

He's in the manor instead of the cave. He's visiting as Jason, and not Red Hood. It's a small peace offering, a sign that although the past can't be changed he'd love for Bruce to be in his present and future. Although his visit as Jason and not Red Hood is partially a choice, it is partially a necessity. He broke his arm on patrol recently and needed to use the cave tech to make sure it was healing right. Turns out it is healing right but it is also taking a while... Looks like fate has forced him to be benched for a while.

"You know, I remember my first winter here," Jason murmurs, sharing a fond memory in lieu of a proper greeting. He's sitting on the couch with a blanket thrown over his legs. "I remember making fugly ass snowmen of you and Alfred and Dick. You know, I've never really been an artist."

" i had to leave a seven pound candelabra. pure silver. " said matter - of - factly, peering down at him. like it was a gauge of her supposed affection. " i thought maybe ... i scratch your back ... you scratch mine ? "

selina laughs. though her gaze flits over batman's body, and her smile fades slow ... eyebrows creased in a concern she'd try to mask. " you can walk, right big guy ? "

If he could ignore it all he would. But his business is knowing. Like how he knows his expertise in magical artifacts is needed here. " And what do you intend to do once you've got the bloody thing, eh squire? Give the tosser the chance to use it on you? I know how to safely seal it away. I'm willing to bet you don't. " Safely seal it away or keep it for his own toolbox- he hasn't decided yet. He turns his face away to light a cigarette, then pointedly turns back to blow the smoke right in his face. " So how about we skip the theatrics this time and you just admit you need me for once? "

emma knows all too well that there's no coming back from something fatal. no, not even the amount of money both of them accrued could undo death looming at arms reach. but for now there's time to cherish the quiet moments. tangled betwixt chenille blankets, holding onto bruce for dear life. it's cozy, this new connection they share. “  well.. if you so happen to walk down a path with no return, i'll have no choice but to follow close behind. ” there's a part of her heart that lives in constant fear of losing someone dear to her. a human nonetheless. if the blonde wanted to assert telepathics on the situation, she'd prevent bruce from pursuing the hero role in a city that wanted nothing more than to end his life. but she doesn't. not with him.

“  wait. i have an idea .. ” once in a comfortable cuddled position against his frame, shifts to where her own posture fixed to sit upon his lap. facing the charming brute, it was hard for her to picture the alter to this softness. one who packs a punch strong enough to knock out anyone who dares to oppose said knight. legs adorned in white thigh high stockings, align at bruce's sides. refusing to move even if he dared to exert strength. posture leans into the man to which her heart adores. the profile of a posh babydoll lands more kisses to where words can no longer express. “ lets stay here a bit longer. please. ”

an index finger trails along toned biceps, ending with a good squeeze to his hand. " don't get too turned on by my strength .. " the models frame poses once a distance away from the infamous dark knight - her batman, her fists turn to diamond before the organic form consumes her body whole. " if i win, you go shopping with me with your amex. if you win ? i'll buy you a new car. " her body shimmers beneath multi level chandeliers, even underground the manor has pristine class decor. before he could even agree to the terms, superhuman strength thwarts the woman's body in a sprint to collide with charming brute force.
