🌓 -- More weren’t the one who spoke the words but they left a bitter aftertaste on their tongue all the same. Fairness, and happiness. Two concepts completely remote from their experience in life. “I thought you were fairly happy,” they say. They know it’s not all true, but considering what they knew of Tess and her past, they thought that she was doing a great job at showing a happy face, even if it was no more than skin-deep.
At least around them.
“Did you not wish for us to treat people fairly even though we were never given that same courtesy? Shall we start by reciprocating the unfairness that we suffered?”
More hadn’t much of a moral compass - they just knew that they wanted to make the people they came to care about happy with them. Like a pup seeking approval, even though the Moon Hounds had long passed the puppy stage.
