Ah, the wonderful months best spent on nothingness. (By nothingness, I of course mean quite a lot of various things. Like I said, nothingness.)
Last summer, my break was rendered short by my plans to start college in the summer. I had a measly four weeks between high school and college, and though I made the most of them, it didn't quite cut it. This summer, however, I get three and a half glorious months! Well, almost two are over, but the point still stands: Last summer = lame. This summer = awesome!
Anyway, back to the notion of nothingness this summer! I have spent my summer months hanging out mostly in my home town, hanging out with my parents, old crowds, and semi-new crowds, and my boyfriend, Jared(That last part is particularly awesome, since we're an hour and a half apart while I'm at school. Being able to see and hang out with him every day has been awesome!). I'm back working at my old job(which I'm probably not going to name here, since there are very few good things I can say about that place and I don't want to risk getting fired because of this), and desperately hunting for a new job! But besides that, 90% of my time is spent lounging at my house, usually with Jared.
(Reference to my puppy blog, Chowder loooooves Jared! When Jared and I got to my house today, I got Chowder out of her crate and after getting over her initial "Oh my God, you saved me from my solitude! Eternal gratitude! Eternal gratitude!" fit, she RACED downstairs to find him and promptly peed out of excitement when she did.)
Hanging out at my house with Jared and our friends, hanging out Starbucks and making late-night Steak 'n Shake runs with the girl friends, drive-ins, shopping, work, a beach trip or two, the previously blogged about cruise, and that's about it. That's how awesome my summer of nothingness is.
