Good morning☕️☔️
We have been in a drought.
Detrimental dry season has led me to believe
I would perish, wither into dust,
Cracked lips, and parched.
The arid desert winds have been threatening
To knock me off my feet,
Ridiculing the way I stumble about,
Wheezing for just a drop, a taste -
Desperate with thirst, quickly losing haste.
Alarms were overlapping this morning
As you kissed my spine, floods forthcoming.
Your mouth to mine, offering
Some of your long-awaited torrent.
Immediately I could feel the humidity surround us,
Storm approaching.
I screamed at the sky, for God, as it rained.
Why have I been made to wait so long,
Excruciatingly dehydrated,
For such a sudden yet brief downpour?
Starting and stopping just as quickly,
Still enough to leave my bones water-logged
And my lips gasping.
Storms have been sweeping across California since last December. Areas with high elevation are forecasted to experience the brunt of this we

This storm ⛈ about to hit is pretty much continual lightning and thunder. There’s so much thunder it just all rolls together 😟
The spill at the old beaver dam, before and after it has rained for 5 days.
Yep, you might say the creek is a bit higher.
