Maybe the tape shows that Jessica is dead and since she has been Jay's motivation this whole time, Tim doesn't want Jay to know yet.
Just my grim theory about the super special tape...
This was a request.
tapes.
I really don't know why people are complaining about more tapes, though.
Let's review.
They have a logical reason for being there.
They have a logical reason for being tapes.
Alex actually tried to destroy these tapes and hide what remained, which means whatever is on them is probably going to be something pretty significant.
Which means plot-relevant footage that sheds light on past events.
Which potentially means answers to some of the oldest unsolved mysteries.
Which is supposedly what most MH viewers want to see, so....
Also Marble Hornets was originally a FOUND-FOOTAGE series and the entire premise revolved around watching Alex Kralie's tapes. I get that there have been a lot of tapes over the years and it's gotten a bit repetitive as a vehicle for the plot, but guess what, when you started watching MH you kind of signed up for a lot of tapes.
TL;DR: Saying that you want the plot to develop but then complaining about tapes is kind of an oxymoron. As long as there are still important unanswered questions pertaining to past events, there will be more tapes.
Welcome to Marble Hornets.
