JJ and Marie Training Part 2
*after the girls take a little break, they regroup in Kamar Taj's courtyard*
JAMIE: Okay! I think I've put you through the wringer long enough. Now it's my turn to be tested. Feel free to hit me with whatever spells or obstacles you want, and I'll do my best to counter. Let's see just how responsive I can be to whatever is thrown at me.
@askmarietheapprentice
Trying to find the motivation to go for my run...was at work till 3am and going back at 5pm...I know that I'll like it after, but right now I'm just tired 😴....
Ugh
I'm always so tired now. I have a pinched nerve that gets agitated in the car. So on the drive home I'm in pain and tired. So the last thing I want to do is go for a run, which I should do. Aayla needs it. I realized she has put on a pound or two and I've put on about five. I need to exercise both of us more. Plus Aayla is digging now in the backyard. So more morning exercise and stimulation is needed. I was going to run this morning but I forgot to set my alarm and was late today. So she probably will did again. I tried to put a chair over the hole but will that work? Probably not.

Hello Everyone!
While Element Shitkicker is getting pushed to their limits, it looks like the same is about to happen to Emile.
Thanks for reading,
– Luther out
Comment Text Follows:
SteelRaven - This is when we find out Emile has a life outside of Limb training (or at least wants one) a idea probably alien to Christophe
Tiwaz - Well, he has to become a LIMB-pilot for sake of pedigree, as silly as it is, and since he has almost negative aptitude it means putting more work to it. I would guess that his lagging behind is already hurting his position as one meant for upper echelons.
Darkkismeth - I’m starting to think, that the young prince doesn’t really desire, to become an Limb pilot. Maybe he doesn’t like combat at all. You have to consider, how long the Dhuvs had peace and are suddenly in war with a foreign force, that have different combat doctrines. Every available Limb pilot is greatly needed for the Dhuv forces, after all do they need Officers to lead the troops. So, I would be reluctant to forced speed of training, especially if i had still problems with movement alone.
Tiwaz - Clearly he does not want to be, or at least has no skill for, LIMB-pilot. But from the story it was made clear that person of his status HAS to be LIMB-pilot. This far story does not give any reason to assume that Dhuvs are in any way low on resources and need to scrape the barrel to get pilots to fight marketeers right now. I am guessing it is prestige matter. “How can he lead if he can’t pilot LIMB?”
Ragnarok101 - I wonder if the Dhuv rarity of LIMBs is entirely self-restricted, ie “only nobles can LIMB”. If that’s the case, unless the Dhuvs enact some major social reform, there’s going to be a problem. I foresee the Marketeers pulling an Agincourt….
Limerick Ford - Harsh. As a helicopter pilot in training, we’re warned specifically against training too hard/too often because the personality types that most pilots are have a tendency to make us overwork and over-risk– mostly over-risk, which is a reealllyy bad thing in aviation. There’s even required resting times for pilots and limits on how long a pilot can be flying at a time. Speaking from a civilian point of view, mind you. I personally couldn’t imagine going 12 hours, let alone 8, in a single session, every day. I’ve never seen a (Private-level) student go longer than 4 or 6 XD;;.
Deoxy - Ever watched children learn some physical skill? Especially the kind they like? They LIVE it. This is only partially “piloting” – it’s also partially “walking a specific way” and other such very physical skills. Immersion could be very useful.
Limerick Ford - Could be useful, but this isn’t toddlers learning how to walk, this is a grown man learning a very difficult and complex skill. Piloting vehicles IRL is hard enough, I can only imagine how difficult Limb training must be.
Grudgesettler - What I’m wondering about is what is neccessitating this acceleration. Emile really strikes me as someone to spend more time working with, not trying to rush it through.
SteelRaven - Christopher may not be the most adapt teacher. It was mentioned earlier that veterans are required to train new students and his buddy joked about the injury Emile’s brother received while Christopher was training him.
Kasper - We saw earlier that he’s supposed to move on to some sort of team exercise soon. Worse, his assigned partner is better at it than him (stated, not shown), and not diplomatic about it (clearly shown). I can only begin to imagine the political consequences of a Dhuv noble being a bad LIMB pilot, but considering the arcane etiquette of European courts, Emile and Cristopher could both have a lot riding on this. The boss hopes more training can correct the issues.
