So many! I love cheesecake, the ones w chocolate are especially good. I’ve also become fond of mint chocolate chip ice cream. I also love cream pastries, like cream puffs or cream horns! I also love Salvadoran sweets, like nuegados or quesadilla! (Salvadoran quesadilla is a sweet bread made w cheese btw!)

Candlelight: What romantic cliché do you wish for most?

Honestly, it was being together on a ferris wheel (preferably at night w all the pretty lights) and exchanging sappy comments but unfortunately, I ended up getting motion sick sooo...uou;

to me it always sounds like “abuse isnt abuse if its among children/teens” and also “i love to ignore the way systems of oppression like racism and ableism affect children/teens and reduce things to Meanness”

absolutely. that’s the other thing that’s unhelpful is that, as a concept, “bullying” is always presented in the blandest of terms and in the most empty of vacuums. like it is literally described to young kids as “when a person is mean to you!” with no concept of what that may look like, where it might stem from, what they might use against you, even actually useful strategies for dealing with it. they don’t seem to even understand the paradigms of their own system. I mean it’s not like the very concept of seeking assistance from teachers etc. is pathologized from a very young age. what is “tattling” I’ve never heard of that. (and of course this creates a huge risk of serious emotional or physical injury for potential victims as they move through middle and high school. also I can speak from personal experience that the harassment of ND kids is completely normalized, and I’m more than sure this is true to an even larger extent on other axes of oppression, especially when it comes to race) it’s like these people live in some weird pocket universe where an aggressor will politely listen to a reasoned rebuttal of their hateful actions/words, immediately see the error of their ways and repent and, I dunno, buy you ice cream or something

maddie, alex, carly

my first real boyfriend ever had a friend named maddie who was an amazing guitar player. there are these videos of her on youtube that have nearly a million views and most of the comments say “this is fake” or “nice tits” and it’s really upsetting :(

i’ve known so many people named alex but the first one that comes to mind is this kid I went to middle and high school with. I had AP chemistry with him my senior year and one time I borrowed his phone to use as a calculator and accidentally saw a love text from a girl that i didn’t know he was dating. they’re still dating though so that’s cool

all the people i’ve ever known named carly got engaged less than a year after graduating from high school
