I had something like that happen to me about a month ago. It was like 11am and I thought I overslept 'cause I thought I had the morning shift at work. Checked my calendar and realized I had the day off...then I went back to sleep, lol

I agree but I feel like the majority of Americans are so used to having the 2 parties crammed down their throats that they don't realize they have other options.

Having a multiple party system I can tell that this is not commendable, either. Splitted votes lead to coalition and so many compromises that the beams squeak.

@iwouldratherbeelsewhere we’re still a first past the post country, so we won’t have a system of proportional representation like much of europe has where if you get 7% of the votes, you get 7% of the seats. 

You’d still end up with just 2 parties, a left and a right, just under different names. We got rid of the Whigs at one point, we can do the same for these two.

And @moreorleslie, I think this revolution actually caters to your points. Today, very few people identify with a party, left or right, and instead of telling them who to vote for, the revolution is simple... NO. No democrat, no republican, pick anyone else you want, pick at random, just NO to those two. Even if you don’t read anything up on the people or parties, pick on a whim, don’t care, just NO to democrats and republicans is as simple as can be for a revolution!

It’s like the old question, what if you threw a war and no one showed up? What if you threw an election and NO one voted democrat or republican? 

It’d be a hell of a thing!

Oooh, I’d probably have to go with some Rage Against the Machine. Killing in the Name Of, Bulls on Parade, How I could just kill a man are all good for that :D Nothing better than blaring some Zack de la Rocha and Tom Morello!

Honorable mention goes to Smashing Pumpkins Fuck You (An Ode to No One)

I know I could have gone into my punk/hardcore folder, but I dunno, all of that has a different feeling to me when I blare it than “baddass.” Thought Kittie - Brackish is a pretty badass song to roll the windows down and scare passengers with :D If you’ve never heard the song, it’s a must listen! I like to segue into it with some Peter Gabriel … cause I’m an asshole like that :D 

12: A song you love

Let me start off by saying I hate you for this :D I love ALL of my songs damnit!!

The song I’ve played the most seems to be Don’t Fall by The Chameleons and I have to admit I really love that song!

Yeah, let’s just stick with that… for now :)

Hmm, my initial gut reaction would be to pick a Boingo or Cure song but they’re so much a part of my normal rotation I don’t think that counts. Same with Metric or Smashing Pumpkins, even Sugar/Husker Du. Catherine Wheel I play too often, same with Institute. 

I’d really have to go with This is a Low by Blur

Honorable Mention would be Alice in Chains, sometimes I forget just how much I loved Them Bones, Angry Chair, Rooster, Dirt, and so many of their songs.
