@morethanfaqs​ mentioned this was going around on Facebook, and I’m missing them awfully a lot from California, so here you go, it’s Let’s Talk About our Partners on Social Media Hour.  (Haha I feel like you’re gonna regret having me do this.)

1.) What is something I always say? “Frilly heck is totally a thing people say!” (You’re regretting it already, I can tell) 2.) What makes me happy? This is such a broad question?  Creature comforts, like a good meal and good friends.  Being taken care of, or cared for, since you spend a lot of time caring for other people.  Intellectual stimulation - talking a story out, or untangling a philosophical question.  Queer ladies on TV who don’t die.  Social justice.  Back rubs. 3.) What makes me sad? A lot, this year.  Brain chemistry and cold winter nights.  Social justice. 4.) How tall am I?

Like, human sized?  5′6″ or so - significantly taller than I am but not in a way that makes me crane my neck.  Plus like 2-5″ of afro, depending on the day. 5.) What's my favorite thing to do? Go to a bookstore and spend hours browsing the stacks for something special.  You probably already have it, but the cover is amazing, or this is a special out of print edition, or you’ve just fallen in love with this particular book for no particular reason. 6.) What do I do when you're not around?

Either sleep for fourteen solid hours, or not for three days.  Not eat proper food.  Facebook. 7.) If I become famous, what will it be for? Hah, you’re already getting famous. 

I think though, that maybe it won’t just be for the comic writing.  I think it’ll be for stories you write for children.  I think you’ll write YA novels and kids books that will give children hope and validation and a reason to keep fighting through the muck the world throws at them. 8.) What makes you proud of me? Well, part of it has to do with the above, and that great Captain America speech you gave me on our second date.  (ilu!)  But also, just, ugh, you’ve had a pretty hard go of things and it’s only made you more determined to be kind and loving to people, and you seem so genuinely surprised that anyone would want to do that back to you because you actually are that genuine.

Also I know you’ll hate me saying this, but you’re super smart and you know a lot of shit that I don’t, and I admire smart people that aren’t dicks about that. 9.) What is my favorite food? Pernil.  Pasteles.  Really banging desserts, like that amazing cheesecake we had up on Arthur Ave a few weeks ago.  If you could live entirely on smoothies and righteousness you definitely would. 10.) What is my favorite restaurant? Bobwhite, on Avenue C.  Veselka.  Our apartment, when I’m cooking ;). 11.) Where is my favorite place to be? Anywhere a good book can take you. 12.) If I could go anywhere, where would I go? Assuming I don’t spend the first half of the year unemployed, I’m still thinking New Orleans sounds pretty good. 13.) Do you think you could live without me? I mean like literally or metaphorically?  I don’t think I’ll be one of those old people who die a week after their partner, but I don’t really want to find out.  Anyway, we’ve already discussed this, you’re immortal. 14.) How do I annoy you? BY BEING SO PERFECT - well, it’s a little annoying to be teased about how I hardly ever read lady fanfic.  I AM AWARE I’VE BEEN BRAINWASHED BY THE PATRIARCHY, IT TOOK ME LONGER TO REALIZE I WAS GAY THAN IT DID TO REALIZE ROLES FOR WOMEN MOSTLY SUCK, OKAY? 15.) What is my favorite movie? I actually have no idea.  I feel like this is something we’ve talked about a lot but there are a lot of options coming to mind. 16.) Who is my celebrity crush? Gina Torres, easy. 17.) You get a phone call that I am in trouble. Who am I with?

I’m gonna assume @werewolfau but that also sounds like more than the ordinary sort of trouble.  That sound more like, we accidentally toppled a fascist regime trouble, than you need to come bail me out of jail trouble.

Thought I’d give a quick rundown of the two people I’ve been interested in the past few weeks/months. The ones that keep me up at night and make me happy to be here with you guys while we all do our thing.

I decided to take a step back for a week from the whirlwind that is my own output (I think I have 7 stories going, because I’m an asshole) and I needed to kind of escape from trying to figure out the mechanisms of quantum bubbles and tesseracts and because ugh why is time travel so hard :( and rest in someone else’s hands for awhile.

I learned more about writing and what I want for these characters in 10 minutes with these two miracles than I have in a little under a year of writing my own. Please enjoy, if you haven’t already.

and four makes home Ok guys this is really just lovely; and it gets better everytime it’s updated or you go back and reread. The pace is slow and easy, the touch is light and feels like a warm, autumn day by a lake (all the shadows are sharp, the air is cold and the light is dazzling), the feelings are real and the vast intelligent heart behind it is glorious. OT4. Lexa, Raven, Octavia and Clarke are in love. It’s messy, wonderful, and heartbreaking. Curl up and ask DHS as many questions as you want. She loves questions. The headcanons and ficlets are as much fun as the story.

this is what we do (because this is who we are) Anya and Raven. Right. HERE WE GO. This is, bar none, some of the most astonishing writing I’ve come across in the 100 fic world. I’m really not sure what crazy alchemy happened here but Raven and Anya just absolutely slay, here. I had every expectation they would, but it’s just incredibly beautiful the way they did. I was speechless. You know what? It’s very rare that I’m at a loss for words (obvs) and this just rendered me speechless and on the verge of a mild heart attack. There is such a light, intricate blessed touch here. it's so quiet, so amazingly gentle I got to the end and reread it completely in love with these two. Two characters I really thought i had a handle on. This is devastatingly beautiful and immersive. And she upped my game simply because I read it. One or two moments had me lol'ing out loud (I scared the dog). So so so good, my friend. Gosh, thank you.

There’s a lot of amazing to choose from with LadyV, so I will direct you first and foremost to one of my most deliciously treasured quiet moments between two women of the 100, ever. Another OT4. 

I won’t give it away, but she made me cry. your name like a box where i keep my love (a part of the the light is no mystery annexes) made me cry ugly tears and I think about it constantly. It changed my writing and the —oh my god? Good cry, believe me. This is just so very astonishing and powerful. "We know, baby. We definitely know."

Like, it’ll make you question the world and everything and your life choices and stuff.

I mean. My poor little gay heart.

Interstellar Neon Mayhem Neon was the color of the night. That was the game, get the mark, and get out, but there was always a catch. Tonight it was going undetected on a planet that had natural black light in neon. Winner kept the mark, and the payout. Rey, Poe, and Finn have been running the games for years, the best smugglers in the galaxy. That is, until an old smuggler comes out of hiding when his former ship is the mark. The trio descends into a night of mayhem that takes them halfway across the known universe before they realize just who they’re chasing down in enemy territory.

When the Olympic Trials come back into town her worlds collide as some of the fastest athletes in the world show up on her track after midnight. She’s forced to chose, who will she be, what kind of glory will she chase?

Okay, fulla feels now. Like, what about other stuff. Lexa going to sleep away camp? Anya dropping her off, pretending to be totally fine but, lets be real, Lexa is her life now...

OKAY BUT ANYA SENDING LEXA TO SUMMER CAMP

Because for real. Anya would be all about trying to give Lexa some semblance of a normal life now that it’s just the two of them.

Anya dropping off a sullen Lexa in the woods, it’s not that Lexa doesn’t like the outdoors, it’s that she’s never been away from Anya for more than a day or two since she was three and she doesn’t know anyone at the camp. All the other girls seem to have been going there for ages since they were little and know each other and have clicks, and Anya, it’s worse than the kids at school. What if they’re not okay with me, that I’m… Lexa stuttering and shoving down tears and trying to be stoic like Anya. And Anya barely holding it together, but Lexa doesn’t notice that because the counselor checking her in is really pretty and for a minute she forgets about the girls her age maybe probably hating her. And the counselor is probably Anya’s age. And Anya elbows Lexa because they can’t both have heart eyes at the same girl. And after Lexa runs off to her cabin, because in the five minutes she was standing in line, another girl in her cabin managed to start a friendship with Lexa (sadly it doesn’t last beyond the summer). And like Anya going all worried mom on the counselor, who is like, omg you’re my age how do you have a 13  year old. and Anya being like, but okay here’s the deal. Please make sure the kids don’t fuck with her about being queer or being an orphan. She has family, and it’s me. And then Anya getting in her car and crying on the way home because what is she going to do for three weeks while Lexa is gone? 

She’s been looking after Lexa for ten years.Anya trying to have a normal 19/20 year old’s life and not knowing what to do. The entire apartment is spotless when Lexa gets home. And Anya’s finished all the summer reading for one of her classes. And she’s designed and sewn a week’s worth of clothes for each of them. She’s beside herself when she finally gets to pick Lexa up from camp and doesn’t let her out of her sight for a week straight.

Let’s be real, that first night back Anya probably sneaks into Lexa’s room after she’s gone to bed and curls up next to her because she’s missed her lil sis so much.
