Morgan’s Tome Entry for Giaus. Still Accepting.

Shared History: Gaius is a thief, and a well regarded one at that. Father used him in many of their battles previously in order to get through locked doors, find valuable items, and quietly take down enemies in the dark. I haven’t had the chance to talk to him too much, though I have seen him at war council meetings and so on. He also snuck me some candy when father wasn’t looking a few times. Addendum: After returning to the past, Gaius snuck me some apple cider candies.... They were delicious! Addendum: The version of Gaius at Garreg Mach seems to have called me Lil Bubbles back in his home world. And my father Bib Bubbles? Or was it just Bubbles? Honestly, not quite sure. It was a confusing conversation. But did he know me better in his world?

Pros: Quick, stealthy, and quiet. He was great for entering any locked building, stealing from the enemy, and assuring small advantages could be exploited to their greatest means. Strikes true and can be very focused... until candy is put into the equation.  Addendum: And he gives me candy. Addendum: The Garreg Mach version of Gaius seems to be a decent at tracking as well. I can not confirm if he was in previous iterations.

Cons: I would initially put the candy addiction, but he seems to keep it well under control for the most part. I can only assume he excels at his strengths and doesn’t do much else. Addendum: After returning home I can confirm this. Addendum: The Garreg Mach version of Gaius is.... very bad with magic. Oh so very bad. Also hit himself with his own attack from a Levin Sword.... Do not let him near magic items. Confiscate his Levin Sword if possible.

Tactical Benefits: He’s skilled of course with assassinations, quick in and out missions, theft, and intelligence gathering. Primarily useful on scouting missions and sabotage alongside a distraction.

Death: Reports indicate Gaius’ death was just as quiet as his typical operations were. Reports suggest he was killed on a mission to sabotage a gathering of Grima’s forces. Father confirmed as much as well when I asked. Father also seemed a little relieved. According to Father, Gaius seems to have ties with the enemy. Addendum: If Gaius had ties with Grima’s forces, why didn’t anyone else seem to notice? Did Grima really work with anyone like that anyways? And why was he killed on a trip to Grima’s encampment if he.... there are too many seemingly contradicting statements. 

Legacy: His child.

Lingering Questions:

Less information on parental deaths seem to be prevalent in my notes. Is there a reason? Perhaps I was far too young and father far too caring to tell me?

Gaius seems to be from a world with a “male” Robin, unlike many of the others. How similar are all the worlds? Is there a female Gaius like there is a female Robin?

Does Gaius have connections to Grima? Will the Garreg Mach variation be able to confirm or deny this? More research is required. 

Rumor has it he was also in a similar dream with an Emblem of sorts. Something worth more investigation.

Morgan’s Tome Entry for Hilda. Still Accepting.

Research: Hilda has an eight pack. She seems to be a dedicated trainer who keeps her body in prime condition for the battle field, though in class and towards the professors she seems to be extremely lazy. “Seems” is an extremely generous word. Her skills with a multitude of weapons but focuses on Axe use and armor. House Goneril seems to have a few famous individuals. One being Hilda’s brother. According to the books the house seems to have a “Crest of Goneril” which is likely while I’m mildly unsettled by Hilda’s presence. Aside from this, she seems to be the second in command of the Golden Deer and is extremely close with both Lorenz and Claude. I don’t believe that team could be broken up.

Addendum: Likes kissing. Usually somewhat over exaggerated. 

Addendum: After learning about Sylvain’s lance and his crest, I learned House Goneril has a relic similar. An ax of sorts? 

Pros: Strong, immensely so. She has an eight pack. AN EIGHT PACK! That’s ab-solutely ridiculous! She clearly trains her physical body well. With this she can make for an amazing front line warrior. She has more social intelligence than immediately assumed due to her mannerisms. Many men tend to be swayed by her words, which can be useful for quick missions requiring intelligence gathering. 

Cons: Lazy. While I am not aware why she refrains from battle so much, she does tend to take the back field in almost anything she can. I’ve heard the professors have a hard time dragging her into practices. Eventually she goes but she does try to get away with a lot. This is where she can sometimes influence others to do her bidding. 

Addendum: She said she was a bad dancer. I’ll take her word on it. Though she may just not have wanted to teach me how to dance.

Tactical Benefits: If she can be motivated enough, she can become an amazing force on the field. I suspect that similar to Lorenz, she has a great love for the Golden Deer and the alliance as a whole. She’d likely do anything to keep them safe. No magical eight pack. Keep her away from enemy mages.

Lingering Questions:

How the hell did she get an eight pack?

It seems Crest bearers seem to affect me less than individuals like Celica. Hilda has kissed me on multiple occasions, yet I only feel mild discomfort. Why is it that Celica, Alm, Lucina, etc seem to have a more prominent effect?

She seems to be on the beach, does she know of the Emblem dreams?

Morgan’s Tome Entry for Matthew. Still Accepting.

(Please recognize most of this is written in a code she made back in her original timeline. Part may be written in the past, and some in the present depending on the character. This is the translation not what a character would read.)

Research: Matthew is clearly a spy of sorts. His footsteps are soft, his movements calculated, and his body language somewhat similar to Gaius. I’ve heard of some place called Lycia when investigating him. It seems to be where he is from? That’s the best assumption I can make at the moment. I can confirm he isn’t a Fodlan native since it isn’t on a Fodlan map. If I find other people from Lycia, I may be able to learn more through conversation.

Pros: Sneaky! Super sneaky! I bet he can be used to sneak around! Big surprise! More information is required to make a better assessment. Addendum: He seems to be in possession of some stronger weaponry. He’s also accepting of orders. Addendum: Seems to like snow cones. 

Cons: As a Fodlan immigrant, I do not believe he has any sincere ties here. It’s hard to utilize a spy without ties. They train to be somewhat independent and strong willed. That being said, it’s not unheard of for spies to switch sides or go where they perceive to be more power and more money. More research is necessary to truly understand his motives. Addendum: Yells about incidents instead of calmly communicating about them. Perhaps not the best for recon or covert messaging. 

Tactical Benefits: Quick and skilled with a sword. He can exploit weak points and even do ridiculous stunts. He also has few Fodlan connections compared to natives. Should push come to shove, a detached quiet assassin is better than an attached assassin. Addendum: He was able to jump onto *smudge* during the battle. Clearly agile and acrobatic. 

Death: During the battle with the Emblem of Honesty, Matthew fought against *smudge* and after making an opening for the rest of the group, was stabbed with the chain like blade the professor wields. He seemed to die smiling. 

Legacy: His arm wraps/bracers. They will be put into the cubbie alongside the others. 

Lingering Questions:

FIRE BOY! Not a question, but a fact.

Clearly alive. The Emblem of Honesty, what is it? 

He seems to vaguely remember the Emblem of Honesty... and the fight.

Something held the Professor’s sword. Though it seems the details are smudged. Perhaps in other notes of the event?

Morgan’s Tome Entry for Cynthia (Please Recognize Most is Written in a Code she made. This is the translation not what a character would read.)

Initial Impressions: Peppy Pegasus Knight! Cynthia can’t be kept down, extremely excitable and extremely defensive with her friends. She’ll protect them to the end.

Pros: Outgoing, crazy, into doing anything. She’s the light of the group, often bringing warm times in the dark cold depths of war. Her strength in many ways is an inspiration. She strives to be akin to a hero and it shows in her efforts.

Cons: She isn’t forward thinking. Her optimism often gets the best of her, leading her to act first and think second. She can easily get outmaneuvered by skilled archers, She strives to be akin to a hero and it shows in her failings. Addendum: Her attempts at sharing her optimism with the group transporting Azure and Gules only ended up harming the the group over all. Addendum: That can’t be true? Cynthia’s optimism always got me up and ready to fight. What happened here?

Tactical Benefits: Immediate and quick transportation with her Pegasus. Her cheerful demeanor and acts of heroism can cheer on a troop and get them back into fighting shape! Addendum: Her pegasus and rashness was once again her weak point. Her flaws outweighed her benefits. Addendum: Was I this cynical back in my world? While impulsive, she always fights true. 

Death: Cynthia first attempted to save her companions. She inspired them to fight on and escape from their capture. When she realized it was too late, she grabbed Gule and Azure, apologizing to her fallen comrades before attempting to fly off to Lucina. Grima’s Subordinate shot magic at her pegasus, causing both to crash into the ground. Even at the end, she claimed she still had hope for the world. Addendum: Grima’s Subordinate…. First Nah and Noire…. Now Cynthia… Who was this horrendous being? 

Legacy: Her spear head, and a feather from her pegasus. 

Lingering Questions:

Where does her optimism come from? I want some of it!

Addendum: Who the hell is Grima’s Subordinate? I’ve only had time to skim a few passages, but so far they’ve been mentioned in Noire’s, Nah’s. Noire’s passage mentioned Kjelle attempting to protect her and this one implies she died. Was it Grima’s Subordinate? I don’t know how many more of my passages I can read if that’s the case. I feel like I’m going to throw up. I need to find this person.

Addendum: What happened to Gules and Azure?

Leon: The Pretty Boy Archer

Initial Impression: Wow he’s pretty. And just the right amount of purple. And his fashion sense is amazing! Those pants with wide brim legs, perfect! Definitely more fashion forward than Lorenz. His sarcasm, sass, and straight forward honesty is hilariously amazing. 

Pros: His archery is good. He is just slightly, ever so minusculely slightly, loyal to Valbar. Juuuuuuuuuust a little bit. This can lead to strategies that’ll have Leon covering groups of people who are with Valbar, rather than having him go rogue. The honesty, and lack of care he seems to have delivering the truth, can most certainly be used in a variety of situations.

Cons: He’s absolutely obsessed with Valbar. In my opinion, insanely so. Would probably be reluctant to work on missions without Valbar or personal friends. Attempt to keep closer to friends. Other than that, keep away from diplomatic missions.

Tactical Benefits: Valbar will be safe. 

Notable Relationships: Valbar..... Addendum: There has to be more to this guy right? He does talk about Valbar a lot..... That’s really about it.

Morgan’s Tome Entry for Lysinthia. Still Accepting.

Research: BLEGH! She smells and feels horrible! Goddess what is up with her and those crest things? I thought Celica was unbearable, but Lysinthia feels a lot like Edelgard and they’re both almost as bad as Celica. So long as I don’t touch her I guess I’ll be fine? I can deal with them but.... Blegh! Whatever is up with their crests, it’s certainly worse than the rest. I don’t like it. Other than that, as a former Golden Deer I’ve grown to respect her attitude and dedication towards magic and hard work.

Pros: Adept with both healing and offensive magic, Lysinthia is one of the more versatile Golden Deer available for combat. Her eagerness to prove she’s not a child also makes her work harder. She seems to give it her all the first time around more so than others.

Cons: Worse than your average crest bearer. For me and my bleghness towards them. Perhaps it holds its own secrets and benefits? Until then, she’s a wild card. She also seems to be of low stamina like myself. 

Tactical Benefits: Distance, spell slinging, and getting back at Claude. I saw her once tear Claude a new one for implying she was a child. Definitely a use for the future. In combat she’s certainly adept at magic. Both healing and offensive. she can both be used to establish a healing location and bombard charging enemies from afar. Lorenz can utilize healing magic on the front lines while Lysinthia the back, it allows for equal coverage and versatility in two different parts of the battle. Throw a Levin sword on her in the future to provide extra defense to the back line. 

Lingering Questions:

I don’t like her crests...? It’s not like all the others, aside from Edelgard.

Crests seem to not be visible and only able to be seen through Prof. Hanneman’s machine. Do people not know about these crests the way I do? Further investigation is needed.

Morgan’s Tome Entry for Owain (Please Recognize Most is Written in a Code she made. This is the translation not what a character would read.)

Initial Impressions: Probably the most fun member of the gang! But if I’m being honest, I have no idea what he means about us sharing the “fortune of war” across a thousand thousand lives and being fated partners. And I have no clue how his “sixth sense bespoke to his third eye”. He’s a weirdo for sure, but he’s funny and gives me a good laugh. But he seems to get upset when I laugh alongside his plays. But I did get him to cook for me to prove we were “fated partners” in battle. What other tests should I put him through?

Addendum: Gems.... Definitely gems.

Pros: Owain is a gifted swordsman. He’s devoted to his friends and truly wants to seek a form of Justice to help the world. As such he works himself tirelessly on the battlefield, even if part of working himself means acting from his play. And of course his dedication to his friends and family keep him going. Has the Brand of the Exalt, may be able to utilize Falchion.

Addendum: Delusions of grandeur and his antics allow for many dangerous openings. While he speaks he may yet be vulnerable.

Addendum: A fun personality, while annoying, can allow for higher morale in the troop and when utilized properly won’t make the team vulnerable. 

Cons: Can’t understand most of what he says. Is he in a play? Is he speaking seriously? Should his sword hand be stayed? The world may never know. Should not conduct any stealth missions.

Addendum: Attachments to his allies can be used to distract him or knock him off kilter. Considering the selfless nature of many of his allies, should one be killed in front of him he may get flashbacks to his parents’ death. He’s also possibly able to utilize Falchion, or the ancient Falchion of Valm, due to his close ties with Naga and the fact he has a Brand. Uncertain at this moment. 

Addendum: Ancient Falchion of Valm has been destroyed.

Addendum: Two Falchions?

Tactical Benefits: A great distraction for the enemy. Allowing Owain to be the first to commence a fight could likely throw off a more serious foe. Does not work on Risen who are mindless, though may work on living enemies. Bears the Brand of the Exalt, may be able to utilize Falchion in case of Lucina’s untimely death. 

Death: Owain and Inigo worked together to fight the Risen army chasing Brady and Yarne. After Inigo’s sacrifice, Owain entered a frenzied state. Inigo’s jeers and taunts from the base of the cliff could barely be heard over the roars of anger from Owain. He fought recklessly and wildly, taking out much of the Risen army. In retaliation Grima’s Subordinate took swift action. Grima’s Subordinate shot a bolt of Thoron through Owain’s chest as he charged at them. Owain was left where he fell as Grima’s Subordinate shot a secondary bolt into his body to assure his defeat.

Legacy: The hilt of Missiletainn. Overall, a sword of subpar make. 

Addendum: The hilt of a sword of a legendary hero from home. No matter the quality, it’s a Owain’s.

Lingering Issues:

Why is the Brand of the Exalt crossed out as a benefit but inserted as a con?

What is the Falchion of Valm? Is there a second weapon that can harm Grima? Why is it in Valm? Who used it? 

I’ve concluded my notes and tome to have been compromised. From who, or what I do not know. The handwriting is my own, though it doesn’t make sense why I’m suddenly hyper critical of my friends, and occasionally hostile. Was I compromised? How?

Morgan’s Tome Entry for Linhart. Still Accepting.

(Please recognize most of this is written in a code she made back in her original timeline. Part may be written in the past, and some in the present depending on the character. This is the translation not what a character would read.)

Research: Bleh bleh lazy and tired and always takes a ton of naps. Bleh bleh bleh. A big liability in terms of what is needed on the field and in training. Obviously does not recognize war and consequence. It’s not quite as bad as the consequences Yarne was affording us back in the day running away from battle, but it could develop into that. Unfortunately I can’t train him like I trained Yarne due to Linhart not having really fluffy and lovely ears.... Or.... can I?

Addendum: I followed Linhart after he left a training exercise. I confronted him by saying I’d help him sleep and began petting his head roughly. And then began singing him a lullaby only Grima would love, from the bottom of my heart. He seemed irritated and obviously objected, before leaving. Further testing is needed.

Pros: A well versed researcher who is familiar with the Crests of this world. He apparently has a strong affinity for healing magic. Rumors have it’s partially due to his Crest. 

Cons: Until he’s reliable, he’s useless. If he can’t prove to be dedicated to training assignments we can not trust him on the battlefield. Yarne was useful in an uphill battle, though I’m unsure how much Linhart is dedicated to fighting alongside his classmates. He’s a liability more than anything else. If there’s a VERY SPECIFIC situation in which I can utilize him for research, that’s fine. Until then, I’ll play with his hair. Almost as fun as playing with Yarne’s ears!

Tactical Benefits: He can heal. If the bad guy has a Crest maybe he knows a weakness? He naps so if he’s captured by the enemy he would have slept through the war meetings and know nothing? I think that’s about it.

Lingering Questions:

What does he think about the brands from other regions? Obviously Crests and Brands seem very different, but does he see similarities? Does he know about them? Does he care?

How does he sleep so much?
