Backstory/Background:

The beginning of Morgan’s life is shrouded entirely in mystery. One day he was found left abandoned with no one else around that would claim him there. So he was taken away to an orphanage. He was given the name Morgan Ram. Morgan did not stay long in the Laos orphanage however. As one day he would get fostered out to an American Couple living in Laos. The couple who foster him are very good to Morgan. He is their only foster child, and so, only child. They raise Morgan in a decent household in Laos. Morgan spends his childhood exploring the best parts of Laos and even the more hidden parts that some would never talk about. As his parents travel across the land, moving from place to place.

Though time comes when they return back to America, and Morgan is along for the ride, of course. As he would be adopted by them before planning to leave for America even begins. Once all is in the clear Morgan arrives with his parents and is, of course, an outcast. Especially since most of the others his age had known one another most of their lives. The teenager however does manage to make a few friends. Soon he attends the local high school. Which he quickly finds out are full of all kinds of other supernatural or mythological species, just like him. In a way anyway. He has only recently discovered that he is not human like others he grew up around. They are not very different however, from any other school. There are still factions.

There are also still whores, kids who spread rumors about other students, and amazing house parties thrown by the teens considered cool, from this school. But another thing about Morgan’s hometown is that in the night those with a power of some sort get stronger as the moon comes out. This also makes their powers act awry, and uncontrollable to most. Because of this Morgan’s own, till then, dormant abilities also start to act up and reveal themselves at night, in this town. Morgan takes this in stride though, working on trying to control them at night and use them responsibly during the day. While in high school Morgan also falls in love with a fellow classmate. Which isn’t received well by either of their parents.The couple were banned from seeing one another. However, Morgan and lover disobeyed this.

However, as all young love tends to do, the pair do eventually break it off and go their separate ways. As Morgan reaches the later years of his teenage years he discovers that in their town there is also a really big scene of S&M. As he happens one day, along with some friends, onto a shop selling ‘servants’ out of it. What Morgan comes to learn about these servants is that they are abducted. Mostly the poor, weak, and those not where they should be, are targeted for being taken. Then they are put into the shop. Morgan looks these people over and notices that they are made to wear collars, and on those collars are signals for what they are best used for. Or their temperaments. Morgan however has no interest in buying another person, much like his friends tend to seem to want. Though one day he may change his mind... though he is very doubtful of that. He is still very young and in high school, of course. So he could not even begin to think about getting one of his own.

By the year 1997 Morgan was about to graduate high school. By this time there has been a discovery in his town. An ancient relic is unburied as a sight. It is taken to a laboratory where scientists examine the relic. However, this goes wrong when they activate the inscriptions carved into the relic. The relic was thought to bring prosperity. However, instead, it brought death. An energy was released that night from the relic after the cursed words were read from the carvings. The spell now broken over it, an energy was released across the world. With this energy came strange weather, and other occurrences, such as gemstones raining from the sky, instead of water. Those who came to possess the gemstones were changed by the stones, being given powers. Those with powers were made more powerful, as well.

Animals would also change because of the energy and the stones that came raining from the sky. Evolving and transforming into something else. Often something more dangerous and hateful toward others. Humans would also become addicted to the gems that came from the sky. As well the inhabitants of the planet would also start to change. Their behavior would start to bring the collapse of civilization overall. But for the most part, in the year of 1997 things had mostly been normal. Outside of violent crimes and other such things increasing. Morgan's parents had continued to plan their vacation with Morgan to congratulate him for his graduation. When he did graduate the family set out on their planned vacation. Unaware of the tragedy awaiting them. While they were on their vacation they would become the victims of some of the rage and hatred that had been taking over the planet.

As they drove down a road a car intentionally swerved from their lane into the car Morgan and his parents were in. Hitting them head on at high speeds. At least attempting to. His father moved the car just enough to send it flipping when the other car hit it, down a hillside beside the road. Morgan would end up dying that night on that hillside. The last thing he would ever hear would be the sounds of metal crunching and being thrown around inside the car before everything went black.

Fifty some odd years later however he comes back, the darkness ending suddenly. He finds himself back on the hillside, only now he’s a ghost. He comes across some people that are able to see him. These people try to get him to pass on to the afterlife. But Morgan doesn’t want to go to the afterlife. He instead tries to keep away from those that can see him and seeks a way to come back to life, and no longer be a ghost. Now, in the year 2050 he wanders from place to place. Seeing how much the world has changed in his absence as he goes. He sees where the roots of the hatred from his own time has festered and grown worse in the years in his absence. Beasts run the suburbs, eating people. Murders happen for little to no reason, many of them just baby’s.

Morgan also finds out that there is an organization of people who hunt down the gemstones that rained from the skies, and bring them back to one location, keeping them locked away in a ‘box’. He happened upon this group in San Francisco. Over the years he also discovers that the wild chaotic storms that began in his time have grown to be more deadly, more chaotic, and now, more apocalyptic. These storms were even happening far more frequently. Morgan also learns that something has changed with the gems, even. These changes even affect those in possession of them. New creatures are also appearing across the world, as well. As he is a ghost he is able to see all that is going on, no aging. No restriction to where he can go. He hardly even gets noticed, aside from those special enough to see him, or any other ghost.

Though he still wants to figure out what’s wrong with the world, and fix it. As well as gain his body back and return to life. This is currently what he’s doing. All the while getting used to his life as a ghost.
