I need to rant about something cuz honestly I wanna be done with this show until the season 3 premiere. but there's a subset of high potential fans that are so fucking toxic & just aggressively insufferable & it's specifically morgadec shippers who hate Nick. they make it so hard being a fan of this show who especially loves Nick & they are also really making me lose interest in morgadec as well. it's just nothing but visceral hatred & vitriol from them all the time towards this one character who really did not do anything at all that warranted this much disdain. all Nick was at first was slightly weird & annoying & just a little bit of a dick (if anyone brings up him getting Morgan fired I want y'all to remember he fully supported Selena blackmailing Solomon to get her back). but in the end he's shown himself to be a man of integrity as well as an ally especially to Morgan, helping her with the Roman case & keeping her safe.
one thing Nick haters are doing that really makes me sick is changing the narrative around the Morganick kiss. a lot of them are straight up saying he s*xually assaulted Morgan which literally did not happen. she very willingly kissed him back, she clearly wasn't bothered by it (she literally had a look of "oh ok" after), & she was wanting to talk to him about it just at a more appropriate time (she even grinned while mentioning it). if then referring to moment at his house, yes he tried to kiss her but when she rejected him HE DROPPED IT, he didn't keep trying, he just let it go. there was no force, violence, coercion, nothing. if he had kept trying then I could understand them saying that, but it's not what happened. they're so disgusting trying to paint him as this fucking monster creep straight up lying about him. I know for a fact they wouldn't be saying that if it was Adam instead.
I also want to remind them that Kaitlin confirmed in an interview that Morgan was always attracted to Nick since they first met. & it's obvious Morgan was kinda anticipating whatever was happening between them, whether it's a romance, friendship, etc. so she was interested in him, & was into the kiss. like the level of cope is insane.
they're also trying to claim that if Nick doesn't survive Morgan wouldn't care. first of all look at her face, she was so scared for him & horrified at what happened, she doesn't want him to die. it's also just such a horrible mischaracterization. Morgan is a caring compassionate person, she can't handle seeing people she cares about hurting, & she obviously cares about Nick, it's mostly apparent in Second Sunday. if he does pass she is going to be completely devastated, & traumatized, & blaming herself for not getting to him sooner, wondering what she could've done if anything to prevent what happened. she would mourn not only him, but also what could've been between them. for those wanting Nick to die I have to ask, why do y'all want her to suffer so much? like damn y'all really don't care about her like you say you do.
Nick doesn't need to die for morgadec to happen. even if Morganick happened it probably wouldn't have lasted long, morgadec was always gonna be endgame. but as I said at the start of this post, because of the abhorrent behavior of the shippers I'm just kinda losing interest, & I was a big morgadec shipper since day one, even when Nick came onto the show & even when I shipped Morganick (multishipping is a thing) there's a part of me that doesn't even want morgadec to happen anymore cuz Nick haters deserve nothing, & it also funny how Kaitlin keeps referring to morgadec as siblings (even though I disagree) I am actually willing to sacrifice morgadec if it means the shippers suffer a mentally charged crash out.
I need Nick alive, I don't want his haters to win, I want him to keep pissing them off with his existence. if he survives I want him & Morgan to confess their feelings for each other, & if he doesn't I need Morgan to completely crash out over his passing & realize her feelings for him. either one will utterly upset morgadec shippers & that's what I want.
I have nothing but pure contempt for Nick haters & want nothing to do with them. they already suck but they're gonna be so much worse if Nick passes. they are undoubtedly the worst part of the high potential fandom.
