fedri this fedri that gimme my gadri back
Alina recognizing Nikolai’s handwriting actually means everything to me. Idk maybe it’s because I’m not someone who can easily memorise or differentiate people’s writings, so I see it as a big deal. honestly I think neither is Alina, so the fact that she pays attention to Nikolai so much down to that detail is just… quietly and effortlessly romantic. Nikolai attention whore Lantsov really would have thrived with the level of Alina’s attention adkkqkdkd
i know it’s not the same but tbh these subtle little things (like alina knowing nikolai’s handwriting or alina somewhat understanding what nikolai talks about even when he’s not a human) is doing things to me. the more i grow up the less i care about grandeur love confessions bc of how empty it can be (as someone who got it AND did it too lol. like it can be meaningless regardless of how beautiful it might sound, or maybe it does hold some meaning to it but is basically love bombings or dependency.) but little things like these prove so much and give me the exact same feeling as the likes of “in another life, i would have really liked just doing laundry and taxes with you."
But dude went into Avatar State both times...
hiring cubarsi as my defence attorney bc the boy can defendddd. rolls royce defender indeed.
oh my god i've been listening to jump out the window by big sean since forever and only now do i realise how much of a nikolina coded song it is like it's basically nikolai himself dropping bars to wake alina the fuck up about her loser bf 😭

presenting nikolina at the court and winning bc it’s an airtight case. there’s a reason why nikolina got em mad as hell.
posting a chenford gif a day until the rookie comes back (day 41)
kinda wish there’d be koreans playing for barca but son is old and our midfield is stacked. ik there’s that korean twins in la masia but idk how far they’ll go bc i don’t think asians ever did super well in barca. last time we had dro and now he’s in psg.
fuck it i know people are gonna cook pedri even when he's been the best in that catastrophe. yes it's not his usual masterclass performance but he did WELL and created decent chances against low block and i know he's gonna get cooked i fucking hate this
ferran it's never too late to change career path and just be a model
saw this and now i can’t unsee it and i’m always going to be thinking about it this way 😂 not wrong at all

Rule of Wolves
Siege and Storm
"Soldier. Summoner. Saint" being Alina's tagline 💀
Literally how do people read Zoya's storyline in KoS and RoW and pretend it's not the most obvious repetition of Alina's in trilogy except this time Leigh actually let's the "chosen one" be chosen lol.
It's one of the reasons why I just can't enjoy the duology. It doesn't feel honest. It's like Leigh bardugo looked at criticisms of SaB and wanted to correct those mistakes this time. Nikolai is a simping clown and Zoya is Alina done right this time. When it wasn't needed at all, Zoya could've had an original storyline that's actually interesting yk? What set her apart from Alina was the fact that she wasn't blessed with some unique powers but still made herself one of the most prominent grisha soldiers at such a young age solely because of her talent and hardwork. She gets introduced to the Sun Summoner as the "star pupil" and that's what made her remarkable! But instead of getting the grisha with ordinary powers who made herself extraordinary, which would've been a lot more interesting mc to explore we get the storyline that people had expected in trilogy.
Also the fact that KoS/RoW tend to lean more towards the concept of "magic" when SaB feels... weirdly anti-fantasy? Idk what to call it but the og books keep mentioning how there's no magic it's small science! NOT magic! and Leigh, in interviews, talked about how her magic world is based more on "molecular chemistry" and how she doesn't want to overpower her characters, only to turn the mc into a whole fucking dragon and obliterate the entire concept of small science 🙄. I don't think Nikolai's books needed all that. The premise was interesting enough, a country reeling from a civil war that left a huge change in Ravka on so many levels. There was a lot of space for political intrigue but none of it is explored properly. The divided loyalties among the grisha, people eventually wanting the monarchy gone, conflict between the 2nd and 1st army after the latter mass executed grisha in S&S. Is any of this dealt with? I remember reading RoW and having a headache because so much happened but a lot of it is forced into the plot and doesn't make sense more than half the times e.g: the whole cult of starless bs and darkling coming back (I loved it ngl but let's be honest it was completely unnecessary) and still having powers when he's in an otkazat'sya's body, all those saints that literally serve zero purpose and the insufferable and annoying af Mayu because who needed that???
the fact that I thought @barrel-crow-n wrote this
I am not a King of Scars, much less RoW, fan tell you true. Crow cameo was the best bit
I think the saddest thing about Alina is that she was villianised when she was just trying to be whole. She didn't want the power of the stag and it was forced upon her (although she did also gain it anyway for granting mercy). Then, again, she took the whip's life because it was going to die anyway due to the Darkling. This caused her to feel unbalanced because she didn't have the last piece of the matching set. And this is treated as greed! as a horrible thing and a sign that she's going power hungry when in reality she just feels unbalanced. It makes sense that she wants a matching set! It's like an impulse she can't ignore, to make herself whole.
And people forget that it was the amplifiers that made her feel that way too. Like calls to like. She was forced to take the stag, and ever since, the connection existed between all of them. The amplifiers wanted to be united, and they sought each other out. And the third amplifier was so close to her for so long that by the time she had the other two, the need to unite them was unbearable. In some ways, it’s more akin to addiction than it is to greed, but naturally women are vilified while horrible men are put on pedestals.
Yes! She just got stuck in the middle of forces out of her control.
they look so Kitty here
