Druchii-Drow
Kryssa, one of the members of the Morgwaeth’s Blade Coven warband from Warhammer Underworlds.
After doing all that gross Nurgle stuff I wanted do something a lot smoother and more colorful. The vivid greens are shaded with dark magenta to give them warmth, and the metallics were done by starting with a silver and then glazing Citadel Contrast paints on(Aethermatic Blue for the daggers, Iyanden Yellow for the gold). I used a lot of Contrast paints on this model and learned a fair bit from experimentation.
Haven’t decided if I want to do the whole group green or give each of the ladies their own color theme. Leaning toward the latter.
And so that’s what I started these Druchii-Drow. Told myself to start with Morgwaeth's blade-coven from Warhammer Underworld’s. To expand as a Warcy and/or Mordheim band. And perhaps later a complete dark elf or daughters of khaine army. We’ll see :)
Kyrae, the archer from Morgwaeth’s Blade-Coven. Continuing my theme of giving each their own color profile, she picked purples. I wanted her snake half to look almost like an albino.
Just one more left, the ma’am herself.
Hello, welcome to my very 1st post. I bought Morgwaeth’s Blade-Coven warband when it 1st launched, however was quite reluctant to pick up my brush to paint them. Mainly because I don’t really feel like using them for a game based on their stats and at the same time launching of Morgok's Krushas; Like what most people would just dived straight into the orks!
After awhile, I got tired of using them mainly because they are a very Agro warband and too many people were using them for a game. I decided to pick up my brush and give the ladies a try. To get them quick on the tabletop; I’m using contrast paints for the time being (will slowly paint them nicely again if I have the time). After painting them, watched a few battle reports and looking through their stats again. I found out that they really have the potential to play competitively. I looked through all the season 3 cards that I have and built a promising deck for a game on Saturday (no season 2 cards was being use).
Played 4 games with them, won 3 and lose 1, with an average 20 glories/game. I’m pretty impressed with their performance. I used mainly Morgwaeth (my leader), Kyrae (snake lady) and Khamyss (whip lady) to move around and do the kill. Both my leader and snake lady with 2 defence rolls made them really hard to kill. On the contrary, the whip lady was kind of weak with 2 wounds and 1 defence roll, usually the 1st to be killed. I need to further refine my deck and see how I can beef up my whip lady in the game.
What do you think? How can I further improved my deck?
