He's Lex Luthor, a billionaire, Tim thinks, and he knows that Cassie and Bart have put the pieces together too, judging from the faint buzz behind him as the threat of lightning makes the hair on his arms stand up.

Kon can't back out, not since Superboy is one of the major draws of the auction, and the money that Lex could donate would fund the rural emergency services for years - and, even worse, if Kon tries to impose a limit on who can bid, people will want to know why.

And there's only one reason Lex would be at an auction that's hosting Superboy as a prize.

"Imp, I need a suit."

(not a wip Wednesday ask) oooh!!! Is the seeing more purple in brown eyes a Kryptonian thing?? Does Clark also think Jon has purpler eyes?! ... Has Bruce or any non-Kruptonian person mentioned his discrepancy to Clark? I mean I viously not but oooohhhh!!! Mysteries! 💚💚💚

newmom!Clark and his overwhelming levels of hormones and baby-brain: /technically aware that most Kryptonians are just a LITTLE more brightly-colored than most humans; very much NOT aware that baseline human eyes can't actually SEE that fact, because you don't know what you don't know, and unless you're colorBLIND, who even thinks about whether they're seeing the same shade of purple as everyone else or not, and therefore--correctly--assuming that Jon DID get Lois's eye color, but that his Kryptonian side affected how brightly it came out/ Guess so! 💜💜

*sharpens knife*. Clark Kent. In the list of all tangentially related children or children adjacent Supers you know. WHY did you not list Kon? Kon is a kid too you know, and he looks up to you, and is 100% a super. And hell, in an alternate universe he *is* one of Bruce's kids so he'd be perfect. *Puts down knife to sharpen a second one*.

gosh how weird an oversight, Kon DOES seem like someone Clark should've listed . . . . . . . . . 🤔

Maybe Thirteen talks more than Match does because he wants Kara to think he’s smarter and more cooperative than Match; maybe Match talks less than Thirteen does because he’s trying to avoid making it obvious when he doesn’t know things, so he’ll seem like the more intelligent one. Or Match just might be trying to come across as more measured and more deliberate and more properly Kryptonian than Thirteen, who’s more emotive and keeps asking questions and saying inappropriate things, or Thirteen might think–

It’s pointless to speculate too much, because there’s a lot of things it could’ve been. A lot of things it could all still be. Sibling rivalry or squad members with clashing personalities or just teenagers with skewed perspectives who don’t know how to socialize in civilian settings or any number of things. 

And she’s going to have to figure out what it all actually adds up to either way, because she’s going to have to learn how to work around it until Kal can actually come collect these damn kids and take them home with him. How to work with it, the same way she’d handle training up difficult recruits or bringing in new squad members with an unfamiliar dynamic or just taking on a new squad with already-established dynamics of its own.

Tim doesn’t even know if the cat cares about getting looked at like that or if he even enjoys the attention, but intent matters either way, and he very much does not want to emulate any of the designer-dressed slime with the moral backbone of a wet box of cream puffs in this situation. At all. Ever. In any way. 

Yeah, he’s gonna resist the temptation to sneak a pic of the hot cat for Bernard. Unfortunately, having ethics has once again proven itself to be an annoying inconvenience in his life. 

Though probably he should avoid saying it like that around Bruce if it ever comes up. Bruce is still annoyed about the last time Gun Batman was in the time period.

Why are your portrayals of characters so cute?? Babies. I want to squish them, and wrap them up in blankets. 💚 Super excited for this month since Think Pink is basically "Tim and Bernard take Kon and shower him with just so much gentle affection". Thank you!

yeah I don't recall who it was off the top of my head, but I had a commenter on "think pink" say something along the lines of "how can the urge to fuck this man and the urge to wrap him in fluffy blankets coexist so perfectly" and in my heart I was immediately like: "congratulations, objectively correct commentor, you have cut to the marrow of the thesis of this fic in one fell stroke, that is an excellent elevator pitch", lol.
