Alright, so I watched Sherlock with my sister tonight and she kept telling me to stop predicting because I was getting everything right & spoiling it. So I want to write down my predictions for the rest of the season.

SPOILERS FOR SHERLOCK SEASON 4 BELOW

1. Moriarty is dead. It stands to reason Sebastian Moran (his right hand man in the books) is the obvious new big bad. I’ve said this since The Reichenbach Fall. Trailers have pretty much revealed this but I want to reiterate. Moriarty. Is. Dead. Moran is behind the Moriarty hijinks now.

2. Mary is dead for good. No more resurrections. Although her video message keeps saying “if” leaving doubt that she is actually gone, her sacrifice would be meaningless and the impact of her death would not have to be addressed. Her death has already had a major influence on John, Sherlock, baby Rosy, Mrs. Hudson, Molly, and probably Lestrade and Mycroft as well.

3. Mycroft’s “13th” note. This one kind of threw me. So Mycroft pulled a takeout menu off the fridge to reveal the 13. In my mind, it means he has ordered takeout 13 times already and the note is a reminder he gave himself to try and eat better. We already know about his struggles with his weight and I tend to think his unhealthy eating is linked to depression or stress. If this is true, Mycroft has been stressed lately with Sherlock killing Magnussen and his worsening drug abuse, Moriarty's “return,” and Mary’s death.

4. Mycroft calls Sherrinford. The three clues we got for this season are: Thatcher, Smith, and Sherrinford. The first referenced the Thatcher busts in the first episode. The second most likely refers to Culverton Smith from The Dying Detective (we'll get to this later.) Third refers to the origins of the Sherlock Holmes character. Sherlock Holmes' original name was Sherinford Hope. Later, this character became Sherinford Holmes, the eldest Holmes brother. There have been many theories about another Holmes & Mycroft has alluded to another sibling before. If he is their brother, there is a good chance he is a recluse, or at least detached from the family. After all, according to Mycroft, "I am not given to outbursts of brotherly compassion. You know what happened to the other one." Mycroft has always been the older brother, if not by blood. If things have gotten so bad that he has to contact Sherinford, you know it's bad (see 3.) *Side note: If we're lucky, he will have been going under the name of Sherinford Hope rather than Holmes.

5. The Lying Detective is a reference to The Dying Detective, in which Holmes fakes his death, fooling Watson and his would-be-assassin, Culverton Smith. Since Mary’s last request to Sherlock was to save John, I believe Sherlock is going to fake a drug overdose to get John’s head back in the game. It is going to work for a bit, but John will still be distant. I also believe that the overdose is not fully intentional. Whether it starts intentionally or is intentionally made to seem worse, Sherlock will really be in trouble for part of it. Sherlock is struggling and Smith, who is most likely working for Moran, will use his drug addiction against him to prevent Sherlock from getting to Moran.

6. Sebastian Moran will remain a threat after this season has ended. *insert gleeful squeal* So Sebastian Moran's character appearing in BBC Sherlock is something I have looked forward to for a while. Ever since joining the fandom during season 2, I have expected Moran to make an appearance. Moriarty has an extensive network & I firmly believe Moran played an integral part in the events of Seasons 1 & 2. MORIARTY NEVER WORKED ALONE. Moran was always with Moriarty and would most likely swear revenge on Sherlock for Moriarty's death and would build upon Moriarty's existing criminal networks. Moran is just as capable as Moriarty but he works in the shadows, not flaunting his cleverness in front of Sherlock. He knows how to hide and how to SURVIVE. He will not end his life to spite Sherlock or to create a new "game." He will fight Sherlock with everything he's got. This is why he is so dangerous and why he will remain a threat after the finale.

S4 is just around the corner

So, who's ready to find out what Sherlock has done that he thinks would make him completely unlovable to John? The thing that made him cry when he told John he was a fake while he stood on the rooftop of Bart's?

The Appledore events were a ruse- (Wow...this got totally out of hand...total crack meta btw)

CAM isn’t dead, he actually works with MI6 on a semi-regular basis, gathering useful info for them. (He’s still a creepy asshole, but an occasionally useful one.) Mycroft and John planned everything, knowing exactly what Sherlock was up to, so they came up with a plan to push Sherlock into having no choice but to ‘shoot’ CAM (the gun was loaded with blanks, and that is also why the assault team didn’t shoot Sherlock as would have been protocol), and convinced/forced CAM to go along with it. (There really are vaults, but Mycroft knew that if CAM used a mind palace, it would throw Sherlock completely off his game, and flicking John’s face would send him over the edge) The endgame being to lure Moriarty back out, as Jim is dead, but not the real leader of the Moriarty empire. They had to believe that Sherlock was truly going to be completely out of the way, because they felt he was too good and would stop them once again.

Mycroft did NOT include Sherlock in on this plan because he knew that if Sherlock was aware that Moriarty was still out there in some capacity, he would never let it go. Mycroft was convinced that there would be some stunt pulled by Moriarty that would allow him to pull Sherlock back, but what he didn’t realize is that Sherlock had spent the two weeks in solitary playing over everything and had figured out part of the ruse. He did take the drugs before getting on the plane to help him figure the rest out. (How TAB fits into this mess I just came up with I haven’t made up figured out yet.) Sherlock is going to try and use drugs again to help with his deductions, but they turn out not to be what he expected, hence the shitstorm he finds himself in. The 'John, Mary, baby, dog’ day was all fed to him, after he had taken the hallucinogens, by Wiggins, who was the one who switched the drugs, and who works for Moriarty. (told ya this was crack meta….) If anyone wants more of this mess….just let me know.

After months and months, I finally started to watch Band of Brothers.
