“I didn’t know you were the cuddling type.” + dark :3c ?
From your place curled up on the plush couch in Dark’s living room, you hear the front door close with a gentle click.
“Hey, Dark!” you greet as you turn the page in your book, the fire before you crackling happily, warm and comforting.
No answer comes from the demon, but in only a few moments, you hear him enter the room through the arch behind you. With a sigh, he moves around the couch and you smile up at him softly.
“You okay love?” you ask, and he nods.
He doesn’t look upset or frustrated or tired, but he’s not usually this quiet; he usually greets you from the entrance hall.
Again, he doesn’t answer you. Instead, he reaches forward, takes the corner of the blanket you’re tangled up in between his fingers, and lifts it.
“What are you-”
Before you can finish, Dark crawls onto the couch, pulls the blanket over himself, and curls into your side. Instinctively, you set your book aside and card your fingers through his thick black hair.
“You okay?” you ask once more.
He sighs again, and you can feel all of the tension drain out of his body, just as you catch a glimpse of a small, soft smile.
“I’m wonderful, darling,” he finally speaks, and you believe him.
“Yeah? I didn’t know you were the cuddling type.”
He nuzzles into the crook of your neck.
“I’m not.”
You chuckle and gently scratch his scalp.
“Yet here you are, clinging to me like I’m a life donut.”
“You are,” he responds, and you scoff playfully. “I’m serious,” he insists. “You’re my life donut. You keep me afloat.”
“You keep me afloat too, Dark. Does that make us both donuts?”
He chuckles and pulls your hand away from his hair so that he can kiss your knuckles.
“I guess it does.”

The Host understands your extreme dislike of sudden or loud noises. He doesn’t like them either since he can’t ever expect them, even if he does narrate everything under his breath. If you’re ever startled, rest assured he’ll be there to calm you down should any anxiety decide to show its face. He’ll smooth down your hair and whisper softly to you, or if you don’t like that, he’ll sit with you and read one of his latest works for you. It’s in Braille, of course, but he simply likes having you at his side.
He’s very interested in all of your creative and artistic outlets. As an author himself, you know you can come to him anytime for feedback, edits, or review on your works. He’s very supportive of you when it comes to writing. The Host loves that you share his passion and the two of you will often spend several hours in the manor’s library typing away at computers—or writing on paper if you prefer that.
If you ever need a new list of books to read, the Host will always have a couple ready for your enjoyment. Be it fiction, sci-fi, historical, nonfiction, horror, you name it, he’s got something just for you. On cooler autumn or winter nights, if you’re in the mood, the Host will crack open a book and read to you. You’ll share some hot coco, or whatever hot drink you like, as you lose yourselves in fantastical worlds conjured by the words on a page.
Sometimes, you’ll sit in the peaceful silence in the library. The Host will sometimes have his radio show going on, and he likes having your company during those times. You’re quiet and he appreciates that. If only a few of the manor’s other inhabitants could learn to be silent…
During Halloween, the Host is rather excited to go out on the streets. One would think that Wilford would be the one dragging his S/O out on the town, but he’s guilty of that too. He likes being able to wander around the streets without being judged for his appearance. Especially the blood. Let me tell you, that stuff gets absolutely everywhere.
When his bandages become too saturated to do much anymore, he’ll come to you with a meek disposition and ask for your assistance. Yes, he can technically do it himself, but it’s actually quite hard to hold the bandages in place AND tie it. Plus, it’s another excuse he uses to feel your soft, loving touch on his face. He lives through touch and sound now, and he absolutely adores the gentleness of your hands and the quietness of your voice as you talk about your day. He’s fascinated with you, he really is.
The Host doesn’t find you awkward at all. When you stumble over your words, or lose your train of thought, the Host will simply smile and help you along. He’s basically a walking dictionary, so why not take advantage of that? The Host likes all of your quirks and you’re definitely his inspiration for a character or two. (Don’t tell him I said that, though!)
Late nights are definitely common with this man. It takes your gentle coaxing, or threatening words, to get him to sleep. He’ll always make excuses, but he never fails to bend under your will. You’ve certainly cast a spell on him for sure.
