It's me again, back with the Third Issue of Localization Notes— and this one's a special edition!
It's been a while since our last update, and we've got a lot to share. As always, a heartfelt thank you to everyone who's left feedback, words of encouragement, and shown us patience along the way. You truly keep us going.
🌟 New Team Member & Translation Progress
We're thrilled to welcome Jellyflshie to the team as our Korean localizer! We're now a team of three!! 🎉
Here's where things stand now:
English:
We're now ~85% complete!! Full human translation is expected by September, 2026!
For this upcoming V2.5,0 update, in addition to translating the latest story content, we've taken the time to go back and human-translate, revise, and refine more side story chapters.
Here's what we've human translated at the moment:

Korean:
Our Korean volunteers have been a tremendous help!
Jelly has joined us since March, and she is making great progress, with Arc 1's full main story and all Awakener skill descriptions expected to be complete by June, 2026.
Other Languages:
Our volunteers have gone above and beyond across multiple languages. Some have contributed upwards of 30,000 lines of text! We're deeply grateful to every single one of you!!
A special shoutout to our Russian volunteers, who have not only put in incredible work on the translation itself, but have also been running a fan-made Russian-language Morimens news account on the side. We honestly didn't expect that level of dedication, and it means so much to us. Thank you. 🙏
📖 Handbook: Better Story Navigation!
In the newly added Handbook interface (you can read more about it in the upcoming infographic Part II), we've introduced a new feature:
Stories can now be browsed in the order they are referenced in the narrative, making it easier to follow the story in the order it unfolds within the lore.
We've also added an optional Translation Progress Marker that you can toggle in Settings.
With it enabled, you'll be able to see at a glance which chapters have received full human translation in your language, so you can decide what to read first!
Based on requests from our community, we're adding support for three new languages:
🌍 New Language Support
🇮🇹 Italian
🇹🇷 Turkish
🇧🇩 Bengali
Please note that all three are currently in Alpha, meaning translation accuracy is still a work in progress.
As a small team, we can't yet staff in-house translators for every language — but we believe offering more language options, despite the quality not yet being where we want it, is better than none.
We're actively increasing our localization budget whenever we can, and we're committed to raising the bar over time.
Localization is never truly "done".
🔧 Ongoing Polish & Improvements
We're always going back to refine what we've built:
-We've adjusted spacing around in-battle numerical values for better readability (completed).
Display & UI Improvements
-We've completed development of new code logic that supports automatic singular/plural switching based on number values (e.g., "1 card" vs. "3 cards").
-We're working to address a number of lingering formatting issues across the game, including stray punctuation marks, unnatural line breaks, and unpolished text layouts in certain UI screens. These will continue to be improved in future updates.
-We've updated the quotation marks in the Russian language from 《》 (the Chinese Guillemets) to « » for better visual presentation. We'll continue correcting the punctuation in other languages.
-We also revised several main UI text strings that were previously confusing or awkward, making them clearer and more intuitive.
Since applying this change requires updating tens of thousands of existing text entries, the full rollout will take some time. Stay tuned!
We have been working closely with our writing team to refine the terminology and phrasing of our English content. Our goal is to better reflect the Lovecraftian lore of our world and more faithfully convey the writers' original intent.
Terminology & Story Revisions
Cathuria: The English translation of 卡修里亚 (Celeste’s homeland) has been updated from "Kashuria" to "Cathuria."
Recent Updates Include:
The Desolate: English translations for 荒星 (Tinct & Faint’s home planet) have been unified as "the Desolate."
We've also been conducting ongoing fixes for stilted phrasing and inaccuracies flagged by players (e.g., Tulu’s Archive entries and tense inconsistencies in Arc 1 Chapter 6).
We believe translation is a craft worth investing in, and localization decisions shouldn't rest on one person’s judgment alone. We genuinely value your feedback because we know how deeply you love this world.
Every report in our English translation feedback channel is reviewed and implemented before each patch update. We mark the feedback we have finished working on with the OK emote reaction.
Quality takes time, and some suggestions may not always be feasible to implement right away: Our current production timeline is very tight. New patch content is often finalized only one day before shipping. To fully translate the latest content in English, we translate everything "on the spot," sometimes re-translating the same line five times as the source text changes. This leaves little time for immediate polish, but we are committed to going back and editing via hotfixes.
