undergroundwubwubmaster replied to your post “in the pregante scenario- do you think the groke lays reptilian/avian...”
the huge skirts make me think they're marsupials? like a tiny babby just crawls up and into some pouch and everyone is like aight cool ok
That’s a neat idea!! Marsupial grokes... I already imagine that grokeparents like to carry their babies around in their dress pockets, but a marsupial grokeparent would come with a baby pocket basically built in. Fits in with my headcanon that grokes are born able to cling to and climb on their parents, too!

in the pregante scenario- do you think the groke lays reptilian/avian like eggs or do you feel they're more of a mammal live birth kinda deal, one day they're just hanging around and a Small Groke wanders from below the shawl and everyones just ???
Yeah, I typically think that they’re like placental mammals. I’m perfectly fine with tossing other ideas for how they reproduce into the air though– them being oviparous is a nifty concept that I have considered in passing. Like, what would a groke egg even look like? How big would it be? Seems like it could be fun to think about.
Also I keep chuckling about the mental image you’ve given of Groke Birth being the newborn infant all of a sudden crawling out from under its mom’s skirt one day.
