"#ive never seen this before and have no context whatsoever" Dirty Pair was originally a series of novels turned into two different television animes, one OVA series and a movie! It's a sci-fi action comedy show about two extremely talented problem-solvers-for-hire called Kei and Yuri. Their moniker is the Lovely Angels, but because of their brash personalities and extreme lack of mindfulness that causes most of their outcomes to turn extremely destructive, they're most commonly known across the galaxy as the "Dirty Pair", a nickname they loathe. The first television series is also notable for having one of the first if not the very first extremely positive depiction of a trans woman in an anime! All the way back in 1985-1986 with the seventh episode of the series!
OH DAMN ty for the info! that's super cool actually! honestly i've always loved how 80s anime looks so maybe i should actually check it out
your answer to the "what games were most important to you as a kid/teen" was very amusing, "Doom II" is a fascinating contrast to everything else you listed
i definitely looked at that list in the end like "one of these things is not like the others!" 🤭
believe it or not, i was fairly active in the classic doom community for pretty much the entirety of my adolescence! i taught myself how to make my own maps at a fairly young age and stuck with it for nearly as long as i've worked on music as an adult.
i even contributed to a couple of community projects! i have two maps in NDCP 2 (map09 and map23), one of the O's in "13 years of doom," and another map in some community deathmatch compilation whose name i always forget :')
i had other contributions and projects of my own in the works, but they all fell by the wayside. i do occasionally get a passing interest again because i enjoy the aesthetic, but i lost my taste for the actual gameplay years ago. maybe sometime i'll check out what folks have made since i stopped playing and explore all the pretty architecture with monsters turned off 😋
vivian i swear to god if i see another cursed rat post i will spread legos all over your house
Commission for a friend, who wanted me to come up with robot designs for my girlfriend @ikksnay and my own fursonas!
#hmm now were could this come from?#if only there was a voice line to tell me
*incorrect buzzer sound* you have fallen for The Trap. 10 more years in the sega arcade game mines
(nice digimon tamers header btw!)
Ahhh nooooo i have been fooled yet again.
I must consult the great Yakuza 0 to correct my mistake
Ape Escape 3 is my favorite in the series, tied with the first game, definitely definitely give it a try (and liberally try out the different costumes and their skills when catching monkeys!)
NICE i will def check it out!! 😄
