thinking about jesus vs thinking about a church that i dedicated years of my life to and would be a fundamentally different person without and now mostly just feel resentment toward vs seeing people with no perspective on it act like their opinions have any validity at all

me: why do people think going to Temple Square to see the Christmas lights is fun? I've done it like ten times before and it's getting old. I don't feel like going out tonight. And besides it's December and do you expect me to walk around outside where it is FREEZING for forever and just look at stuff? It's torture! Why do we do this to ourselves?

what she says: I'm fine
what she means: back in the 1800s there was a seamstress in London who used scissors to cut the finest silks and satins in town. She joined the Mormon church and took her small children with her to America. They ended up in the Martin Handcart company. The hands that had cut the finest fabric in London cut the rotted and frozen flesh of her little children. There was nothing from the knees down. Imagine having to tell your son that his feet will never grow back. What happened to those kids when they got to Utah? did they use crutches to walk everywhere? or were they never able to leave the house?
i’m procrastinating posting my mission pictures on facebook and by the time i actually get them up it’ll be irrelevant. probably.
It cracks me up so much when people say Mormons aren’t Christian. It’s not like it the LARGEST, BOLDEST word in our LOGO and it’s not like all our prayers and talks are in the name of Jesus Christ and nevermind the fact that all our churches and temples and other buildings are CENTERED around Christ with pictures and engravings. So funny.
I want to purchase the kindle version of the His Dark Materials Omnibus so badly but I can't because it's in the middle of the night and tomorrow is Sunday.
