Yes, I am religious
but that doesn't mean I tie myself down
I still have my choices
I choose not to swear because I don't want that to become my basic vocab with everyone I talk to
I choose not to have sex until I'm married because I see that as something extremely special and extremely pleasurable so I want to save it for someone that I'm sure I want to be with forever.
I choose to be a good person to everyone because it makes them feel better and it makes me feel better.
I choose to do random acts of service because it makes me forget all of my problems.
I choose to go to church because it, as well as my chipmunk, gives me hope for something better.
I choose not to follow all the rules because it is my life and I want to control how I act and not how people tell me I should live.
I choose to read my Bible and Book of Mormon so I can build good life morals and find strength.
I choose to believe that there is a God because I have gotten literally millimeters from death too many times for there not to be someone looking after me. (I've also had like 4 concussions, 3 of which were before the 3rd grade)
So when people tell me that I don't choose how to live my life, that I'm letting myself be controlled, I will simply tell you that I choose to be in a religion because it has made me a better person and it gives me hope. And that I don't let it be my main influence, I still live my life the way I want to live it.
Thank you for everyone who I have ever been allowed to meet, becuase everyone has made an impact on me.
