Morpheus and Kyron

How did Morpheus and Kyron (Morphon(Moron)/Kyreus) got together for @thelaziestgeek (3&4/??)

Short answer: Artemas and Morena

Long answer:

Art was and still is a big fan of Kyron's horror books. So in one of the signings Kyron and Art started talking and became friends over time over multiple meetings. Kyron was completely aesthetic that someone loved his books as much as Art does, how who can tell you his favourite scenes word for word with also the page numbers.

Morpheus was because of Art also a big fan of Kyron's books (as was Morena). So Morph was excited to meet Kyron too. But Morph is kinda not that good with people in the beginning of meeting them, so the first meeting Morph had with Kyron was of course together with his sister Morena. And Morph in true social awkward fashion maybe said one sentence. Kyron didn't mind that much, because Kyron doesn't mind talking as someone is listening. It's here where Morph got his crush on Kyron. Which made him even more nervous to talk to Kyron.

The second meeting between Kyron and Morpheus was with Art, because Morph couldn't go alone, because 1) nervous and probably won't say a word or stutter, 2) there's a chance that he would fall asleep before the meeting (or date as Art liked to call it) to avoid his crush entirely.

The meeting went pretty well in Art's opinion, Kyron and Art talked as usual, Morph maybe said two sentences with at least every other word stuttered. Morpheus is a nervous wreck when it comes to his crushes.

In Morph’s opinion the meeting was a disaster and shouldn't happen again. Ever. Which Art wasn't happy about, because Art likes to play matchmaker and he thought that Kyron and Morph would actually fit well together. But Art wouldn't force his cousins/family into relationships. So except for inviting Morph to meetings with Kyron, or offered to set up a date/meeting between Kyron and Morpheus here and there. Morpheus always said no. Though he didn't know if it made him feel better or not about his crush.

Some time flies by, and Morph was mostly over Kyron (at least he thinks he was), but out of nowhere Art announced that he will write a book. And he asked Morie and Morph to proofread and give tips. So everybody already new it was going to be a horror book, or at least a very scary book.

The mor twins of course agreed to help Art with his book. Which meant that they would be kinda heavily involved in it. But Morph find out a little to late, that Kyron would actually “write down” (as in letting Art dictate most of it and Kyron would just write it down) the book and give much needed tips for writing and story structure etc.

But Morph already agreed to help, so backing out at that point wasn't an option at all. Morpheus had also the feeling that Art did these completely on purpose (which he kinda did).

So that meant a lot of Kyron and Morph interacting. And since Morph “was over his crush”, he actually could talk to Kyron pretty normally. And so they started talking and talking, even outside of the book meetings, on “not dates” dates. And they discovered they had much more in common that just their love for horror. Both loved naps and sleeping. Both are procrastinators. Both love tea , though Morph likes Peppermint tea and Kyron likes green tea with lemon and honey. They even have the same favourite bedtime stories. And many things more. Kyron was also very fascinated with Morph Dreamwalker ability. And got from Morph a lot of new ideas for new books. And slowly Kyron fell in love with Morph's Humor, ramblings, love for horror, sleeping face, dreamworlds he creates, and his (in Kyron's opinion most beautiful) smile.

And Kyron wasn't really sure how Morph felt about him, since Morph made any indication that he wanted more than friendship from Kyron. So they continued to have so many “not date” dates, that they were basically dating already with neither actually realising it. For Kyron it was more in the ranks of ignored wishful thinking, while for Morph it was more of a small voice in the back of his head that he ignored and didn't listen too.

So one day, during Starfall, about a week before the official release of Art's book, Morph realized that he was never over really over his crush for Kyron and now has fallen in love with Kyron's laugh, ranting, love for horror, writing, smile and the sparkles in his eyes when he talks about his books.

So now both are hopelessly in love with each other, without realising that the other is loving them back. And in short both are just hopeless.

So in a small panic Morph goes to Morie, (because why wouldn't you go to your beloved older sister for help?) And tells her that he is in love with Kyron. And Morie is like “Duh of course you are. You two have been dating for months now!” And Morph is confused by that and is like “We haven't been dating, Morie!”

And Morie looks him dead in the eye and tells him “I don't know what to tell you Morph, you have been definitely dating for months. Or how do you want to explain the two to three -sometimes even four- dates a week. Or You bringing Kyron to family parties? Wake up, Little Ghost!” Pet him on his cheek and told him “Just ask Kyron out for real. Don't worry he likes you back. And you are so cute together. And remember, older sister knows best” and Morie than called Kyron over who walked by and gives her little brother a smile and a push and leaves.

Morpheus was already blushing and red-faced when Kyron finally got to him. They talk a little, enjoying the falling “stars” and than Morph just blurts out while staring at Kyron's face “For you want to go on a date tomorrow evening?”

And Morph didn't know who was more surprised by the question, him or Kyron. But after a few heartbeats if silence, Kyron says yes.

And they have been dating for about 50 years now and are actually engaged.

(Kyron proposed first, but Morph already had a ring too, Kyron just got to it first.)
