One of the biggest things I regret about not doing in IX is collecting the last coffee for the little old man in the airship docking tower outside of Dali.

Morrid is an old man that lives outside of the country village of Dali. I'm assuming that he sometimes helps with the docking of the cargo ship on his mountain, or perhaps his living there was just a coincidence. After viewing his little replica of the Prima Vista, he will tell you that he would gladly offer up the model if only you collect three things for him, those three things being the rare coffee beans of Gaia: Moccha Coffee, Kirman Coffee and Burman Coffee.

This side quest is not necessary, and really I don't remember ever having to see the old man again after Steiner runs into him, but it has been one of the many side quests of IX that I have always wanted to finish.

You see, there comes a point in the game where the mountain is impossible to enter, and Morrid is said to have died tragically in the earthquake that caused that obstruction. When I learned this for the first time, I had only found two of the coffees, and I was heartbroken.

Supposedly if you find and deliver them all, then Morrid dies happily knowing that he had finally reached his dream of trying all of the coffees.

Through my next play through this is definitely something I plan to finish, not just for the model, but for the sake of an old man, and old man I can't stop from dying, but one I can make sure that dies with a smile.
