WASSAIL! An old English tradition of singing to the apple 🍎 🍏 trees 🌳 today in Devon - this ensures good harvest and banishes evil spirits. The word Wassail comes from Anglo-Saxon “be you healthy” and the tradition is likely from pagan times. in this photo the morrismen are dancing prior to the procession to the orchard.
