Also referred to as 'North Side', Morrison Heights is typically known as the 'upscale neighborhood' where high income families and individuals reside. You'll find a combination of both historical and modern architecture throughout the area from victorian era homes to simplistic but chic mansions, often surrounded by gates and barriers to let outsiders know they don't belong.

Some of the properties back onto White Bear Lake while others back onto lush greenery and trees that are older than the town itself. You'll also find many of the town's historical land marks in this area as well as extravagant restaurants and boutiques.

The residents of Morrison Heights take pride in where they live, which is why you'll find yourself surrounded with nosy neighbors who want to know who you are and what you're doing whenever they happen to past by you. They'll tell you that it's a safe place to call home, but there are certainly dark and strange behaviours and occurrences that happen behind closed doors or are simply left unsaid.

Recently there have been several reports of robberies and vandalism that have put the neighborhood on alert. Many of them suspect it to be the works of townsfolk who live in Bunker Hill, but there hasn't been any definitive proof. Regardless, the rivalry between the two neighborhoods has increased lately as a result, leading to some heated arguments and even threats being thrown around.

WHITE BEAR LAKE PUBLIC SPACE white bear lake is the largest and deepest body of water located in dismal. many of the residential homes located in the morrison heights neighborhood are directly on the lake as well, giving this neighborhood another great benefit.

no one other than robert morrison is exactly sure why they call it 'white bear lake', but many like to believe it has to do with a sioux tribe's legend. THE TANGERINE 5-COURSE, FINE DINING RESTAURANT

known as the greatest restaurant you can enjoy in dismal, this place will surely make you forget you're in a bland town like dismal... at least for a couple of hours. though it is an extremely pricey place to spend your money, you certainly get what you pay for.

opening just a couple of years ago, everything is new and fresh; something dismal desperately needs more of. the place is dimly lit with candle light and has a faint smell of tangerines in the air. you'll barely have to lift a finger as the floor staff linger around your table, eagerly taking every request you have to ensure your night is unforgettable.

while moonshine café certainly as a cramped interior, it still has a feeling of being better than the average coffee shop. moonshine café is a place where the creative mind is meant to be inspired.

on fridays you'll find live shows performed by local musicians and bands and other performances such as poetry and comedy performed on saturday. the place is full of booths and couches, inviting you to stay for hours and get comfortable with a drink in hand.

ROXY'S THEATRE MOVIE THEATER

the one and only movie theater you can find in dismal. ages ago it was once a theater of performing arts, but as the age of moving pictures developed, so did roxy's. after that, the place never saw much remodelling or any renovations. the wallpaper curls and the floors creak, but some would say that gives the place character.

while they try to keep up-to-date with showing the most recent films that have been released, they still have specials on wednesdays where they show black and white films. one of the theater rooms has an organ player where they very rarely host a silent film night. the theater is also famously known for their 'faery popcorn', which is just popcorn with some food coloring in it and nothing more. though some say a little faery magic is sprinkled in eat bag that makes it so irresistible you finish the whole thing before the movie trailers are finished.
