Lords of the Sky. Zeus vs Lei Gong.
Hey there followers, mortallyshywizard is here and back with a fight which you may or may not have been expecting. But anyway our combatants are ZEUS!!! KING OF THE OLYMPIANS, AND UNDISPUTED RULER OF THE SKIES. And in the other corner LEI GONG, LORD OF THUNDER, PUNISHER OF EVIL, THE MORTAL GOD AND ULTIMATE JUDGE. Now let’s check these gods out and see who would win?
Now here we have Zeus, king of the olympians and sky. Son of Cronus and grandson of Ouranos. Wife to Hera and father of most of the younger olympians. Now Zeus I will admit is a awesome dude. One his ultimate weapons is his famous lightning bolt which is sometimes depicted as a spear, and he sometimes also brings a shield with him into combat. Although Zeus is not the most . . . . faithful husband. Actual to be honest NONE of the male gods or female gods for that matter stay committed to their spouses. Only Athena would be committed to her spouse, IF she had one. Athena just sees marriage and childbirth as foolishness. In his myths and different interpretations, Zeus is seen as a epic god, one that nearly no one, except say his brothers of his father, could defeat him. He is also seen as cold, calculating, and sees himself way above his other brethren. One of the interpretations of the Trojan war was seen as a battle to secure Zeus’s domain. He thought there was too many demigods, children of the gods. He thought that one of these demigods would be a try to challenge, so in a tactical move that even Athena didn't see. He set the Trojan war as a stage for the would be heroes. Those that would survive would be fit to serve the gods while the rest would be just dust on the wind. Although the reason the war started was because Paris, prince of troy took Agamemnon’s, the king of sparta’s wife, Helen. Agamemnon called upon all his allies and went to war with troy. It was a massacre for both sides, though the Greeks did win and burned Troy asunder. It was also depicted as a battle of the gods since the gods themselves, except for Zeus, took sides for their own reasons. NOw that we have a good understanding of Zeus let’s see his competitor LEI GONG!!!!!!!!
Now it is said that Lei Gong was once a simple mortal man, but when the fox demon and a celestial warrior did battle, a immortal peach tree from heaven was born form the fighting. Lei Gong ate of the fruit and it turned him into his godly form, which is a birdlike creature with bat wings. He wields a drum and a mallet to produce thunder, while he uses a chisel to punish evildoers, mostly be lighting I assume. HIs wife Dian Mu is the goddess of lighting. his companions are Yun Tong who can whip up clouds, while Yu Zi can cause massive downpours by dipping his sword into a pot of water. Feng Bo, another companion, causes rushing winds to burst forth from his goatskin bag. Although he is the chinese god of thunder, is has been said he can perform similar feats to that of his companions and wife, while he can’t actually take over their role of being that specific god or goddess. He is a Taoist deity and is responsible for punishing mortals for committing secret crimes and evil spirits who have committed harm to humans using their knowledge of Taoism. He is said to be a very noisy god, although he is also a kind one. He gives mortals longer lives if they help him in anyway. He is also a hunter of demons so we can assume he has experience fighting other beings that are not celestial in any way.
Now for the final verdict will it be the cold calculating Zeus? King of the Skies?
Or the noisy, kind, and honourable Judge of demons Lei Gong? The Lord of Thunder?
