Mortal Orders Three: Solved
Some time ago, I issued a challenge to follow seeds laid from the beginning of my writing journey. Puzzles, hidden in both Shatterbug and Lady Harrow, the first two installments of the Mortal Orders Series. And now, they've been solved!
@sydri, using their powers of deduction and cryptography, found the truth behind these two mysteries.
In Shatterbug, as with the titular character's superpower, a string of text was split in two, one half before the story, and one half after. These two halves, when decoded independently and then brought together, alluded to the time when Marco Nieve would return.
In Lady Harrow, an arrangement of dots sat on two sides of the same page. Meaningless and random. But, when held up to light...
The illusion was revealed, just as with Lady Harrow's power, alluding to the time in which she would return.
Shatterbug and Lady Harrow will return in The First Mortal Order.
