Working on his design. Cosmic Knight Kairo is in many respects a standard example of a typical Sheyde who was put into orbit. Much less neurotic than his distant brother Vector, who works containment. His responsibility is to deal with threats outside the hull. Since his biology is plantlike, he has to wear a cooling oxygenated nanosuit, like a second skin to protect him from the vacuum of space. Most aerobic life forms use them.

Viethe, Nasani Caretaker of the coastal village of Rembrooke. His arm and face have gained a darkened and withered hue as a result of an encounter with the Lord of Decay. He is a devout follower of Verisade, even if he struggles to understand where and when to extend mercy.
